If I remember right DX12 offers better improvements on AMD cards anyways, but you'll actually get to use both those cards well with 12.
I guess not everyone's doin' the Claptrap anymore...
Oh, Good Call! I was going to comment about the mess, but toothpicks/boneless FTW!!!
Veggies and dip are good to snack on too and not very messy either.
I worked with GS for 15 years, starting out at FuncoLand. It had its ups and downs, but they treat their employees like slaves and threaten your job if you don't greet your customers like your dog does when you come home.
More to the point, the stores small footprints and ridiculous amount of displays already make the stores look like they are run by hoarders. So let's put classic systems into the stores and compound the situation even more. They'll fit right ne...
It's just insane how good things are getting already(Unreal's kite demo is one good example). In a couple years when cards like a Titan are old, we may begin to see the first full raytracing engines out which will make games look scary good!
How are you gonna school someone online then?
This should be called "The Perils of Being an Xbox Fanboy".
I like XB1, but I post about DX12 and XB1 tech because I seek answers as a fan of technology, and XB1 has an interesting setup that is not fully understood. What I can't stand is when Sony fanboys come into an XB1 forum and ruin what should be people sharing their ideas and sources, by spraying "data sheet grafiti" all over the walls. We get it. PS4 is more powerful and sells better but it is...
That's going to be the controller design for the NX!
Originally, yes, but they were replaced over time with regular people as the clone program came to an end.
Good news! Independent development just got a whole lot better.
@rainslacker
Even when someone gives you source material you denounce it. To you there are no facts but your own. Your technobabble might as well have a bed beside Mr. X with all the claims you make but never provide proof for either. At this point, your opinion no longer concerns me because there is neither reason nor logic to most of your comments other than to boost your own ego or illicit an argument.
Data sheets showed XB360 had 4 fewer CPU cores, an in...
@rainslacker
MS, at the 2013 Build Developers Conference, unveiled two tech demos running a 3GB texture on just 16MB of GPU memory. I understand that Tier 2 and Tier 3 tiled resources are even more efficient than that and so is eSRAM over GDDR5. If anything I'm on the cautious side in stating 6GB can be stuffed into just 32MB. I can't post links as I cannot copy/paste on XB1, but I encourage you to look this up if you were unaware.
My question to yo...
@ Rocket 1.1
I'm going to laugh when, as Brad just said, the gap closes and none of those numbers make sense any more. Brad works with this stuff every day and his statements keep getting better as he continues to work with DX12 on XB1. Just deal with it already.
How is spending $3b in R&D to put all kinds of extra hardware onto the GPU saving money?
That's like saying Sony saved money last gen by developing the Cell.
If it wasn't the size of a vacuum cleaner.
@moldiver
I totally agree, but would also put Rallisport Challenge 2 along side McCrae 3.
The less powerful system will become more capable over time, with DX12, by running advanced hardware accelerated tiled resources(shown at GDC by AMD) with voxel cone raytracing based graphics engines... utilizing the 200gb/sec eDSRAM, Data Move Engines, split GPU and other tech Sony doesn't have. They took the time in designing a system that will help them in the future when games on PC transition towards full in game raytracing(a Titan Black is close to being able to do this already). ...
Why is the picture of an original DS?
I'd said it in the last thread, why doesn't this group do something useful and ban the incandescent light bulb? 7 billion people use those compared to 10 million XB1 owners potentially wasting 12 watts.
@ dillhole
Ryse 2 the occasion?
