It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.

@rain

I always appreciate when you step into a debate, but you don't seem to post as often as you used to. Your posts are always well thought out, and do a good job of showing why an idea may be flawed.

I'd actually agreed with most of what you wrote, in my third post, when I'd responded to Muzikguy. You're right, I am predicting(wishful thinking as you called it) this could be the start of a new trend for MS and that their respective histori...

@g20

You're absolutely right, I don't have time to research everything thoroughly. I thought processing was in the headset itself, TBH. What research I had done obviously fell short of disclosing all the necessary info, hence the apology. I just wish people could be more constructive when they comment, like your post is. Some of these other posts were not helpful at all, so thank you.

@Jayszen

Greenberg is delusional, and should never be allowed to speak in public again. Nevertheless, that is irrelevant to my point.

@Kenshiro100

I never said PS4 is currently slowing down, I said it's only a matter of time(due to market saturation, nothing else).

@chevalier

TBH, I was done after the last post but you really need to understand what's going on here. I'm not talking about last gen, dude, let alone sales. Where did that come from anyways?

Look, in my second post the number 15 million, which is the only sales number listed in both posts, is simply the difference between XB1 and PS4 sales. Let's say hypothetically that the console market has 100 million consumers. If Sony has 30m consoles sold(1...

Hey, I'd never heard it required an additional processing unit before. I'd always assumed it was self contained and more limited in capability to keep cost reasonable. To me, this new (to me) info will make it more expensive than I'd assumed, meaning less adopters than I'd expected.

As far as the price comment, Genuine specifically mentioned price and my comment is a direct reply to him, so this part of the thread is actually about price which is still unknown...

What's wrong with you people? None of your comments have anything to do with what was actually stated in my post. How is it that such a basic concept eludes all of you?

The population of the Earth is ≠ the videogame market, at a few hundred million at best, and even that number is over-estimated. Market saturation is childishly simple: The more units you sell, the smaller the potential for future sales becomes. MS currently has 15 million more customers to sell to than So...

Excuse me, but I need to go change my pants now. As Forrest Gump once said,"I'm sorry Jenny, I didn't mean to!"

Your dig at MS is the reason I 've said MS will not always be behind in sales by a two to one margin. Market saturation is inherent in all business, naturally slowing sales as ownership gets closer to capacity. One example is Apple, who has a new phone every 6 months or so to keep sales from slowing due to market saturation.

Since many gamers went PS4 first, but intend to own both, it's only a matter of time before Sony slows down a bit and MS stays steady or even inc...

It was also a TPS when shown at Mac World 1999, replete with ambient wildlife that could become hostile when provoked.

I thought home consoles were not selling well in Japan any more compared to last gen though.

With this new information raising the overall price by some margin, it makes a lot more sense now that some people have stated that Morpheus looks better than Oculus Rift. Conversely, this makes the value of Oculus Rift go up since it functions with more devices and will be more competitively priced as a result of this news. The higher price will also put Morpheus out of reach of more PS4 owners and make it's potential for success even more debateable. I wonder why we weren't told abo...

Thank you as well. I just remember that there was something like a Solid and a Liquid Snake, but I understand what you're saying and it makes a lot more sense now. I've been interested in trying 5 out, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

OT: Lol @ 2.1.1 disagrees for thanking people. I apologize to anyone I offended anyone by being cordial.

Because they'll also be on PS4 of course they won't help. MS needs more support with exclusives like Scalebound and Recore. Those two games are a start, but it needs to be a trend that continues if Japanese consumers are going to show any interest in owning an XB1 at all. Better SW diversity would also help sell more units worldwide because gamers want choice.

Sehalanthropus? Lol, sounds like a dinosaur to me.

I admit I'm ignorant to a lot of details in the series since it's not my taste, but why didn't they use something like Plasma or Gas?

It's not simply about FPS according to 343i, it's more about the wide open spaces, navigation choices players can now make, and other ambitious new ideas introduced in Halo 5. Ever notice how in Halo coop, it never let you stray too far from your teammate without teleporting one of you? That's because the farther away players got, the more data the system had to process. 343i tried for months to figure out a solution to Halo 5 splitscreen.

I agree. XBL gold and PS+ are great value at ±5 bucks a month, even just for the complimentary SW. Since I seldom play online, I would not personally see enough value in either service without the free games. EA Access is a good value too if you like enough of their stuff.

I can imagine so, since the game didn't meet their expectations. I worked at Gamestop when Sony removed BC from PS3, and I remember that with the exception of a few hardcore gamers like us, nobody else knew about that change either until they tried to play old games in one. There were tons of customer complaints there too, but it's just not the type of thing that gets advertised because it is not a benefit. Back to Halo 5 splitscreen though; it says on game cases what features are su...

Besides, they spent five months trying to get splitscreen working but the scale of everything else prevented it. Also, what is the "FPS war"? I thought the debate was always about resolution, not FPS, and Halo 5 is not 1080p. With both lies and misdirection, there is clearly a bias spread throughout the article.

@ nix

You aruge your point like it's contradictory to my own. Where did I say MS loves me? Did Sony strip out BC last gen because they love you? Like you said it's a buisness, but you continue to believe MS is a failure this gen when the XB1 is still one of the best selling consoles of all time.

You can downplay the games lineup all you want, but your opinion is still subjective. The fact remains that MS is clearly focusing on the quantity and diversi...
