You presume I didn't read it. A precedent is set when someone pioneers an idea; when someone raises the bar to a new standard. Saying that Dying Light is setting a precedent in this case is like saying that Edison was responsible for making electricity available to everybody when it was Tesla who discovered AC current. Like saying Samsung was responsible for the smartphone when Apple set the precedent.
Dying Light is following suit, Fallout set the precedent. That'...
It's a conspiracy! MS already owns the domain names for Microsoft-Sony.com and Sony-Microsoft.com... AND NOW THIS??? This is just another step towards MS, the Antichrist, owning everything on planet Earth! <sarcasm>
Grow up, man, and just be a gamer.
Considering all the disagrees to my post, I'm surprised that no one has commented on why they disagree. MS intends to implement a system whereby developers only have to develop one time for both Xbox and PC. Blu Ray is also coded to a standard that can be used on multiple devices. Anyone care to counterpoint?
Edit @ Kryptix
Don't forget FF Online was cross platform for PS2 in 2002.
So Fallout 4 didn't set a precedent when they announced support for mods on console? Games like Timesplitters, Far Cry, and Halo have been able to share content for ages anyways...
"E-A-Sucks. If it was in the game, it's not anymore."
Race between Imprezza, Lancer, and La Ferrari. Imprezza and Lancer close, La Ferrari leads the way... O.o
What will happen if someone on Sony's network has the same Gamertag as someone else on MS' network? How would that conflict get resolved? If your Gamertag is the same on both consoles could you unify them? On XB1, could I see your Trophies, games you're playing, send you PM's, or vice versa? Interesting...
One has to wonder if, given light of the recent announcements, eventually gaming might work the same way as watching movies. I don't need a Sony Blu Ray player to watch Sony's movies, so maybe I won't need an Xbox to play MS games(hint, hint) or a Playstation to play Sony's. Hardware is the least profitable part of the business for both companies, after all, and networks and services seem to be more important than ever before.
I know that while conceptually ...

OMG, to imagine that they might be taking the idea of Kinect, the one piece of hardware that really killed XB1 sales and is all but abandoned today, and use that in conjunction with all of their other oddities? Thats just wonderful.
If this is true, they should call it Nintendo N(i)X, because it's gonna kill them.
It's looking like the XB1 is finally hitting it's stride, with this and the Division recently displaying nearly identical images. We all know that the XB1 will be doing this by utilizing dynamic resolution in most cases, but the differences between the two consoles appears to be diminishing already and we haven't even seen DX12 games yet. Wait until Gears 4 (which looks amazing in those screenshots)or multiplats like Deus Ex come out later this year! Anyways...

Why would you need to use the mobile site on a PS4? Honest question, since I use the normal site on my XB1.

They already had all the talented devs from Lionhead... They're called Media Molecule. If you look at every Fable released, each one is worse than the last. Fable 1 was the only good Fable. 2 and 3 were still fun, but not that great. While most fans of Fable were still looking forwards to Legends, what we almost unanimously wanted was a good classic Fable RPG, which Legends was not.
To me, this is just another "me too" move that Sony is famous for. Other co...
How many games advertise that they run at a specific framerate(30fps, 60fps) but have slowdown? Are they lying about their games running at those framerates because they aren't stable? The devs here allude to the fact that the game, on XB1, almost never drops below 1080p. Just quit whining about it already. Better yet, play it on XB1 and tell us all how bad it looks. SMH.
Many games look different from their reveals. Killzone, The Order, Uncharted 4... It's not that big a deal really. Devs choose on how to balance a game as the development continues, and some ideas go away as others are deemed more important. It is those choices that we see that make up the minute differences we see in this comparison and in others as well.
I have the chatpad for the XB1 and I am using it right now on the Edge browser. Every day I do things like surf the web, look up stuff at the store, and chat with friends. I'm waiting for the update so I can re-map the X1 and X2 buttons because I don't do a lot with the default screenshots and game clips, but the intrgrated headset support makes it everything you need for gaming too. Not sure what's not to like about it, really. Oh, I forgot this too: The controller also feels be...
Gears of War Collection, Paragon... oh, wait. Wrong Epic?
That's good news! I think more games on console should allow customizable settings to alow things like locked framerates in the future too.
MMO's and the cloud go together like chocolate and peanut butter. It's good to see other devs taking advantage of cloud processing to dramatically enhance the player experience, as it seems like a natural progression for the MMO genre. The game looks interesting too so I'll be watching this one as it develops!
