Yes, I've played it. Which is why I think it sucks.
You are correct, but I played it at the conference I mentioned and I do have friends who own a PS4. I played it for a few hours already while my friend and I hung out the other day and it's really not that interesting. Kerbal Space Program has as much going for it as NMS. To each their own.
Seriously, stay on topic and don't pretend that you know everything about me from my posts here at N4G.
You cared, that's why you posted. I don't have to like the game, and to me NMS is lifeless and repetitive enough that the fun wears thin after just a few hours. It's just as unfinished as it felt at its debut several years ago when I played it at the Gamestop managers conference.
Sad is the fact that you can't let me have my opinion without making it personal, but I'm glad you like it so have fun.
Are you guys disagreeing because you don't think I talked to him? No biggie, but that's what he'd said at that time.
Before No Man's Sky? Makes it sound like No Man's Sky is actually good or something...
How big is Nordic that they have so many games in development at once??? Hopefully they can do justice to classic franchises like Red Faction and Full Spectrum.
Yeah, I thought it was kind of distracting to what was on the TV. Maybe the lights need to be placed elsewhere in the room to light more of the room up and become more effective?
Whatever happened to Illumiroom though? That was supposed to be an actual projector of some type, making images come off the TV and onto the walls and ceiling like AR without the glasses. Probably just evolved into Hololens...
ABC, just wait for Scorpio then and get a real upgrade.
Kraenk, it wouldn't be stupid if they don't want PSVR. Not everyone likes VR or the types of games made for it.
Yeah, so much for all of the twisted arms at Bioware patting themselves on the back about how well Amdromeda is coming along. They are so full of themselves they are beginning to remind me of a more secretive Peter Molineaux, peeking into a box, giggling and muttering about how cool the thing in the box is.
Well, damnit, Brad Pitt wants to know already, "What's in the box???"
I talked with Sean Murray at the Gamestop conference the year NMS was revealed, and he'd said then that the only reason for exclusivity was the lower development costs for a small studio. He wanted to make the best game they could on one console first, then work on porting it to the XB1 if it was successful. According to Sean, PS4 was simply chosen first due to its' install base.
@ King Lothric
Where is your source that Neo is mid gen but Scorpio is next gen? If Scorpio is next gen, why do you say PS5 will go up against whatever console MS has at that time? Wouldn't that mean PS5 is going to go up against Scorpio? More importantly, why are people agreeing with you when there is nothing but assumption in your post?
I'm not comfortable with random people plundering my booty...
150ms? Wow, sometimes Twitch is more like 15 seconds!
Metallox, what's the difference between an indication and an idea? Neither tells you exactly what's going on. A blueprint, OTOH...
I liked the way Shenmue had the arcade to go play Hang On and Space Harrier when you had some in game time to kill.
Tomb Raider released on PSX, Saturn, and PC. It did not start as a PS exclusive. Neither did Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest... Maybe it would be better if those franchises all stayed with Nintendo? Really, Freddy, your argument is pretty shallow.
It's needed for the SJW's to have something to complain about.
More than a dozen unannounced titles in development at MS sounds good to me. Plus some others, like...
GeOW 4
FH 3
Halo wars 2
Sea of Thieves
Recore
Scalebound
Crackdown 3
It's not exactly easy to just "add coop" to the experience, or every game would support it automatically. It's not like adding a weapon or skin.
Elite Dangerous is planning to add tons of content too, which makes No Man's Sky look even more hollow in comparison.
