Didn't realize I'd mentioned those games in my post. Also strange that saying my preference is my own and that people should enjoy the games they like is considered to be fanboy. Opinion be damned, lol.
So, King, you're saying that I can't prefer MS 1st party over Sony 1st party, but still want to have the option to buy a Sony game every once in a while? Not really much of a help, but hey, at least you tried.
Let me clear things up for you now. Consoles lose the most money, and it's software/services where the money gets made. Install base is most important to making the most money which is why the most successful games are 3rd party. Multiple install bases me...
Agreed. I guess I'm just a bit sadistic though, as I still prefer to imagine them burning to death, lol!
90% like, 2% dislike.
8% spontaneously combusted and could not give their opinions.
Pull up pictures of 1980's sci fi sets like V or Battlestar Galactica and the PS4 would blend right into the background, and to me it was genuinely ugly. This revision doesn't have the same look, with it's rounded shapes and more contemporary design, but it looks more natural in an entertainment center. I think it's the smartest design of this generation because it looks nice no matter where it sits.
OT: I'd like to see future generations of consoles b...
Exactly, Master C!
It would be really cool, if you think about it though, if consoles were more like DVD players and would just play any software. I mean, could you imagine if you had to buy a Sony DVD player exclusively to play Sony movies? It would be absurd!
Gaming is the only media format I know of that is locked into hardware, and it's arguably the software and services that make the systems attractive right now anyways. TBH, I would love ...
I owned a Gamecube and an Xbox, but Nintendo killed it for me with their false pre-launch promises of knowing what went wrong with N64 and having a desire to be competitive again. I would have owned a PS2 as well, but all my friends had multiple units at launch because of all the prototypes Sony sold to meet their sales quota. By the time Sony fixed it, I didn't care anymore because I owned Halo, PGR, Wreckless, Fable, Blood Wake, Mech Assault, Crimson Skies... and I never looked back....
Nothing stands in the way? From where I sit, and according to interviews with several developers who want to use cossplay, Sony IS standing in the way by not offering approval and, "reviewing applications on a case by case basis".
Yep. I don't love either company, I just like Sony less. They are both shady at times, both lie, both do 180's, both have bad reveals, both want DRM (Sony did it with their audio CD's), both want control, etc. It's like politics... you don't fote for the person you want in office, you vote against the one you don't want to succeed.
Anyways, the ball is in Sony's court right now and that's what's important because they are holding up th...
I have games that I use as "go betweens". Creative stuff like Minecraft, Terraria, or Forza Horizon (which has livery editing, but also has near endless gameplay) is always good. I also build maps in Forge and the Far Cry games. I think more games need creative ways to play.
Games like No Man's Sky are great to go back to as well, given their limitless exploration aspects.
What microtransactons? You mean car packs? That's nothing new, if that's the case, otherwise I don't know what you're talking about.
Well, this news just screams,"We know what our fans want, so we're going back to the series roots."
This game will be more epic on Scorpio then.
I've always liked MS exclusives better than Sony's. I don't care that Sony has more because they just don't suit me as well. Personal preference is king though, so play what you like!
I guess Sony thinks that their service is as good as MS' service, so now they are making it cost the same. At least the people around here who believe Sony's service is better have no reason to complain, because it'll still be a better value atthe new price. It was bound to happen sooner or later... remember when it was free to play online?
It will play games that look like current gen console releases at 4K, and at the FPS designated by the developers of the title. Evolution of technology, however, means that eventually everything will be compromised. Even a 10tf gpu will be completely obsolete in 5 or 6 years. MS is talking about this generation of games being able to run native 4K. Same LOD, effects, etc., won't require 4.5 times better processing to achieve native 4K resolutions according to AMD.
That's like saying that The Force Awakens was a bad movie because we knew there were two more parts announced before the first one released. We knew there would be plot twists and cliffhangers there, but in your instance I understand you perfectly, it's because it's a Microsoft product.
Yeah, I know, thanks though! It just seems that it's a rather fundamental feature to have to work on post release.
I loved Flatout with its' hilarious "sports" minigames!
The question was PS4 exclusives or a XB1S. I don't like PS4 exclusives so...
I guess that means I'd prefer an XB1S if given the choice? Deductive reasoning is not your strong suit lately, Rain. I didn't realize I needed to babysit all of my comments by spelling every detail out. You can easily infer from my post that if I don't want PS4 exclusives, if given the choice I must prefer a 1S instead. That's twice you missed the point by being so literal, ...
