On topic, eventually 2tb will be available again in white. 360 and PS3 both had several improvements in HDD size over the years, and limited edition XB1's were once the only way to get 1tb XB1's as well.
What I don't get is why someone would rather spend crazy amounts extra from someone on Ebay for 2tb inter...
Bak Pain, have you even played a game on the PS4 yet? Just curious why you don't know that games sold on disc still install on the HDD. You are right about the convenience of an external HDD though, with up to 16tb per USB port no one will ever run out of storage.
Roswee Son, what looks untidy about a post card sized box on the shelf behind my XB1? I can't even see it. It's also easier to add onto another system (like if I go to my friends house to play on his XB1 or upgrade to Scorpio next year).
To me, the same goes for an OG XB1 external power brick sitting behind my entertainment center where it can't be seen.
Ultimate Master, they did not lie about its size. It's pretty obvious that someone in marketing made a mistake in one slide by making it 40% smaller on each axis in the comparison illustration. The system is actually 40% smaller in volume, while the slide illustrated a 40% smaller area (do the math if you don't believe me). Before you cried fanboy, you may have wanted to look at my response to Ginpachi-Sama, in which I replied objectively that both companies have ignored crossplay when they were winning the console wars. Besides that, it's not what MS or Sony wants, it's really what the developers and the gaming community want. If all my friends gamed on Playstation and I preferred Xbox (or vice versa), crossplay would allow for me to choose the console I prefer and still game with them online on 3rd party titles. At this point, Sony would rather make me buy a PS4 and since Sony is winning the "war", what incentive do they have to enable 3rd party crossplay anyways? I think the student has become the master. Used to be a huge fan of the numbered entries in the series, but they're lifeless compared to the Horizon games and I find them less interesting than the open world offerings from Playground!

This news certainly isn't premature, considering how long GTA has been dominating everyone else that steps into their house. I mean, no one can stand on GTA's mountain without getting tossed off. The talented devs at Rockstar sure are a handy bunch of people.

How many times are we going to hear, "It's Sony holding things up" before we realize that Sony isn't doing this "for the players". They don't want crossplay because more people will buy an Xbox if they can still play with their friends on multiplatform titles and have the 1st party exclusives they may prefer (like me).

You're probably right about the board. You may recall that when the XB1 was first revealed, however, that MS envisioned having a billion XBL users as one of its' goals?
