Shows how much you know about Scorpio. MS already stated that devs don't have to use Scorpio's extra power for resolution. Pixel quality could be improved instead if the devs choose, but the game will still play on both the XB1 and Scorpio. Only VR will be exclusive to Scorpio because no one gets left behind.
My guess is that Scorpio will be supplanted by a more powerful console before Scorpio sees any non-VR titles that won't play on XB1.
They should remake Metal Gear VR for PSVR if they want to do that. At least that would make sense.
PS4 900p, XB1 720p... Again? Is there something wrong with Frostbite that so few games that use it target 1080p? Dice has been the worst this gen, but now that EA is using the engine for everything we're seeing more of their games underperforming in resolution.
Try reading the article before you post. MS is saying this is the end of traditional console cycles. They're saying Scorpio isn't next gen. They're saying the notion of generational hardware is over for them. At no point in time did they mention no new hardware.

Antnee, and the others spreading rumors, please stop with the Scorpio is new gen garbage. It plays the same games as XB1 does and uses the same accessories as well. Just because it is rumored to be way more powerful than Neo doesn't mean it's new gen either. PS3 was twice as powerful on paper as the 360, also released a year later like Scorpio will, yet was considered the same generation as 360 was.

You are right about that, Daemon, but Sony had strong sales the whole generation and came out a year later. Why would that be true? I would assume that most XB1 owners are waiting for Scorpio. Most One S sales are going to be new customers interested in finally jumping in or simply getting the best value for a 4K Blu Ray player.
The XB1 will never catch up in sales, but they can regain trust in a lot of people if the One S proves its value, if Scorpio is all the beast they say it is, and (most importantly) if their more than a dozen or so unannounced titles have more diversity and appeal than current MS titles do.

Yeah, all of this news was talked about at E3. We knew at the reveal that anything for XB1 would work on Scorpio, including all games and accessories.
Except that Neo will have VR exclusives. You know, real games like Fallout 4 that will feature VR on Scorpio but not the plain PS4. You can argue that you can "enjoy" PSVR on any PS4(I can argue that you can't enjoy PSVR on it because it barely works well enough to pass inspection), but ultimately the truth is that Neo is a VR accessory needed for the full VR experience.
