I believe the PS4 slim is the best looking console shape of this generation. It has a look that works well both in an entertainment center and as a stand alone product. I'm just being honest, and anyone who knows me knows I don't like Sony as a company, but I think they did quite well in designing the slim.
I think Sony at least got the design asthetic right with the slim model. My opinion, I know, but I think this is the best looking console fabrication of this generation. I never liked the angled look of the original, think the XB1 looks plain, and the vent holes on the One S make it look too busy (at least in white). Congrats to Sony on making an astheetic that looks as good on its' own as it does in an entertainment center!
It's taken some pretty decent risk with regards to the new enemies, which includes machines and Non-Locust creatures. How far must they change it to be risky though? Will making it too different have adverse consequences? How risky was Uncharted 4 compared to its predecessors? Did Saints Row get better when it stopped being gang related and became about super heroes?
To point out Saint's Row, I stopped playing after I played 3 for a few hours because I don't...
I've only made it to about half of that in any given Forza game so, yeah, not too worried ATM. It is wierd that they have a limit though. And to Move Fasta, FH3 runs off of a simulation physics engine that calculates physics at 360fps. It is much closer to a sim than an arcade racer, but it's unique because it's an open world sim.
Lol! I didn't realize that was the case.
I can definitely agree with that. I played it a bit more at my friend's house the other day and, in all, it's like a 6 of 10 for me. It would be more like an 8 of 10 when they add all the extra stuff to the game. Destiny was also lackluster until The Taken King came out, in my opinion.
It sounds like it could be a combination of fan requested features and average metacritic reviews. The game has a good base, but definitely needs more substance to warrant a purchase at it's current price. I could see enjoying it as a "go between" game, where I played it when there is a lull in new games. I do that with Minecraft at the moment because there's no end to it, just like No Man's Sky.
Yes, excactly. The only difference is that everybody in here is disagreeing with him, but agreeing with you. Sadder than that is Dark Watchman is getting all those agrees in spite of being nothing more than an ignorant tool. You people need to grow up, seriously, and let people have their opinions.
Who said upscale to native? Games that use dynamic scaling will be native 4K according to MS.
It's nice that any game which dynamically scales will automatically scale to 4k native on Scorpio. That means day one support for tons of games that I already own if I decide to upgrade right away. It's also nice to know that not all developers will choose to upgrade to 4K, but can support better quality graphics instead.
Moving what post? My stance has always been that PSVR is underpowered and barely passable, and that you do need Neo for real gaming on PSVR. The shovelware currently being produced is not real gaming, but tech demos and on rails BS.
DragonbornZ is right. The games will scale so they look like normal settings on XB1 and max settings on Scorpio. The concept of a game that scales is hardly new. I would assume, DBZ, that XB1 will be supported alongside Scorpio until a replacement for Scorpio comes out. To me, the lifespan of the consoles will not be shortened, but we will instead have two viable console options at any given time from now on.
Look, JB, it's real simple. Go and read Game Informer issue 273, where over 50 pages dedicated to VR talk about how the games are almost all tailored to reduce motion sickness by removing full control of your character. That's called shovelware. It's a gimmick, like Wiimotes, PS Move and Kinect are and those accessories also got great reviews before they came out. Beyond that, play PSVR and you can see that it works, but it's not very well done because of the hardware cons...
Or read the first sentence below the headline.
Really? Thanks for the correction. I'd read several months ago that EA was moving exclusively to Frostbite for all of its' games, so I'd assumed Titanfall was running Frostbite. Sorry about that!
Did you guys give it two thumbs up?
Well, since Dishonored was terrible not a whole lot.
Need. This. Game. Now.
Subtle, but I see what you did there!
lol.
Consoles should look like A/V equipment, because they are A/V equipment. Making consoles look like toys is like making anime characters talk like cartoon characters in English dubs.
