For all those still using an Atari 2600 - it's time to go portable!!!
Cheers for that, answered all my worries!
Looks very slick with a much improved menu system.
Glad he mentioned later that the credits values were based in yen, was thinking it could take me all year to buy 1 Sauber Merc C9 at 535,000,000 lol
AND my PS3 recently gained an advert for Singstar right in the middle of the screen.
Put there by Sony without my permission and although the PS3 is my property I'm unable to get rid of it!
That too won't happen on a PC!
Amazon do advertise their Kindle HDX with "CONSOLE" quality graphics :)
All sounds good but have they got rid of the menu delays?
And now it's been established the real monetary value of micro transactions what is the amount of credits for winning races etc - similar to GT5 or reduced to push buying micro transaction credits?
Has the used car section gone?
You can't build a PC with such limited flexibility.
Even something a basic as SATA III support has a big impact on data I/O performance and likely within the life of the PS4 the PC will have support for even faster I/O.
It's easy to forget that resolution and framerate are only a small part of the overall image quality and with PC's the user can decide what features are important (anti aliasing, draw distances, texture detail, compression and filt...
But a PC that would easily outperform a PS4 could be had for around 700. For this you get control of the game quality settings rather than it being decided for you, dedicated online servers, more advanced hardware like support for SATA III, have a massive back catalogue of games costing peanuts while new titles being 35% cheaper, masses of high quality user created content.
At 30 bucks saving per game it doesn't take that many games to balance the books.

I feel Nintendo threw away their unique position in the market - family home entertainment linked with health.
There's little point trying to appeal to the real gamer as it's already well covered but the mum's, young children etc that were so well served with Wii have been virtually dropped.
Where's the new and much more accurate Wii Fit board and the ability to interconnect with sports/gym equipment. Where's the teaching tools linked to various ed...
It's looking a bit out of date:
Only 512 EVO SSD when there's 1TB version - why even bother with HDD's or hybrids as you can just put in a few of those 1TB SSD's instead - far more effective than 64GB of "slow" 1600 ram
Titan;s when there's GTX780 Ti's?
25 days to build???
And any PC games system needs to be completed with the G-Sync monitor.
I guess it's not that surprising when you look at the current games list.
You've got games that are exclusive to 1 format, games that are part of hardware bundles, and some that are not new releases etc.
Oh and games so broken it's likely put some gamers off buying till patched enough - stop reading my mind :)
Yeah I don't know anybody going with the Xbone. It's more a question of not which console rather when to buy the PS4.
Some have pre-orders, some are happy to wait till the price drops a bit and others will buy when the right game is out.
It doesn't have much value till the PS4 sales figures are available.
It's quite possible with the price of these consoles being artificially higher than Europe and US and the high cost of living now that ppl are prepared to wait till either are more reasonable.
It's also important to consider that the PS3 was selling to a slightly different audience at launch to the 360 - lots of adults wanted it for the Blu-ray player.
They're finally getting a glimpse of image quality typical of PC's over the life of the last gen consoles.
This evening I cancelled my June Amazon Action Pack pre order.
I'm sick of being ripped off - upgrading the PC instead and look again later
Maybe Sony will think twice about ripping the UK off if enough gamers hold back from buying the PS4 too (I know it won't happen but nice idea anyway).
European Vat rates 2013

As you can see th UK is much the same as some or less than quite a few others
It's also quite possible this statement has come out just to see what gamers reactions are - so we're the marketing survey :)
It's not often I buy the same game for the PS3 and PC but BC2 this was one of them!
Besides the brilliant multi-player (and expansion pack), the single player campaign was so much fun all due to the characters.
BF3 on the other hand would have been better off just enabling offline skirmish modes (like in older BF titles) than that awful campaign.
BF4 - there was a campaign?
DICE need to get back to their roots to remind t...
Notice the UK is paying more for the hardware than even the rest of EU. As it seems many were happy to accept that I'm not really surprised Sony thought it fine to continue ripping the UK off on software.
I'm not sure if Angry birds is in or out so not sure if you should be chastised or not :)
It seems to be a bit of a trait with racing car games.
Shift was one of the very few racing titles where the engine sound effects really gave you that deep coarse roar of engines.
