I'm not really surprised, the industry just looks at gamers as idiot cattle.

GT6 on PS3 looked like it was heading the nickel and dime way but it seems there's been a big turn about in the last patch (1.02)
You now get more money per race, back is the percentage increase for logging in (5 consecutive days = 200%)

And back are the big seasonal and special event race wins where you can get well over 1m credits.

And using the same engine!

BF3 on the PS3 had multiple big issues like no working mic (rather ridiculous in a squad based online game), stuttering etc which took over 6 months to fix - that's not what I call jumping on it and ironing out.

Battlefield games are great fun but this level of issues should not be seen at retail - it's what beta testing is meant to be about.

It's nice that you've got a PS4 but we're talking high quality graphic gaming here :)

You're kidding???

Half the new releases on Lovefilms are 3D versions.

I've not taken it out of the wrapper yet - keeping an eye on all the bug fixes but if it's not fixed (enough) by 30 days I'll just send it back to Amazon for refund.

And even if it were you still couldn't play your own custom music tracks within the game.

Though I'm playing GT6 with my own music tracks - not possible on PS4.

I suspect in this case it's more about marketing. Sony would ideally want you to buy a Ps4 for games and buy a dedicated blu-ray player for movies as they manufacture both.

It's just always the same in a new wrapper guise.

The only game of this style I really found refreshing and clever was an expansion pack for Battlefield 2 called Special Forces. Just adding rope hooks and zip lines changed the whole dynamics and made every object on the map of value and so much more fun.
Released in 2005 with just 8 maps there's still no new fps games that use or expand on its unique features - it's certainly the kind of features that CoD ...

Because an individual can create a driver and not be limited by what the manufacturers like Sony decide for you.

My fav is GT6, such a major upgrade from GT5 and with the new physics it's much more open to all types of racers.

I certainly wouldn't have BF4 in the list as it's not expected to be finished till late 2014 (or was it ..15).

4448d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

You just might want to switch early :)

GT6 is just so much better in just about every area, car physics where you can feel the car tilt and loose grip, all the cars have been revamped so no more low res ones from previous GT series, all tracks have been given a great makeover and the new ones are just brilliant. There's now dynamic weather with full lighting effects (you can get blinded by sun reflections in the rear views mirrors), lots of little options like dipped and ...
