Just gave Cod4 a spin and surprisingly has better graphics than Black Ops!(PS3). I suppose Treyarch didn't use the high res streaming textures that enhanced MW2.

Seems there's still quite a lot of players online and getting into a near full game was fast and lag free - nothing like Black Ops!!

So if you don't agree will Sony offer you a full refund on all existing hardware and software?

What's next; you buy a coffee machine and a few months later you get an updated terms & conditions of use saying you can only use their branded cups and the coffee can only be for the consumption of the original purchaser and not for anyone else including family.

Irrespective whether you agree,or don't care you have to wonder about the legality of f...

Figures must heve been given a huge helping hand with the superstores limited time price drops - how many other top tier games could you buy for (consoles) £25.00 on release.

I already pay to play online - the cash goes to the ISP and line rental to BT. My mobile/mifi service is fine for calls, web browsing, emails etc.

That's like saying you've watched episode 1 in a TV series so no point watching the rest as it has the same actors.

Yeah, had a few really laggy games too, lets hope there's another patch that adds options to better match players.

I wouldn't say the 14 maps are small.. well not compared to MoH!

The Combat Training is better known as SKIRMISH mode - you can play against AI in both teams with the added bonus of inviting friends in - a feature sorely missing in games like Uncharted 2 where it's so hard to jump into a multiplayer online game thus rendering the game and extra paid DLC useless.

It's quite ironic that with so much boycott talk about Activision and CoD due to greed
I find that due to the launch superstore CoD price war it's been one of my cheapest top tier titles for 3 years running.

I noticed a huge 3 billboard wide Black Ops ad near Earls Court earlier today.

Sure going to blend into the environment with that flight suit lol

Depends whether it's now under the EA claws or ZeptoLab managed to stay independent like Rovio. If EA got it then likely the price will fly upwards too.

Now purchased the Angry Birds Halloween HD version - it's fantastic fun. Glad EA didn't get their hands on it as 1)price would likely go right up 2)future versions be ruined due to using low skilled programmers.

I agree with Rovio that a publisher is no longer required as in effect iTunes IS the publisher and we are their marketing through ratings and reviews.

I wonder if Zeptolab is able to sell their Cut the Rope directly or if EA managed to grab th...

It doesn't include RDR full single player or the full multiplayer - just the MP roaming.

I'm sure even the Japanese would be happy with PS4 59p games lol

While I agree there should be a punishment for online cheating it should not be dealt with by the publishers. If we get into a position where cheating is legally enforceable too the profit of the publishers then all they will do is create weak, if any anti cheat code - after all it wouldn't be in their interest to do so.
As I see it the best solution is a voting system from the players who have been effected with the result being a ban / time limited ban / no ban or warning and it...

Good point about longevity of PC games. Uncharted 2 less than a year old but it's really hard to get a multiplayer game yet I can easily get a game with UnealTournament (1999).
I got nostalgic for RTCW after watching Frontline HD and there were still players online and of course AI bots. I was surprised just how much better RTCW graphics was and the map designs were just so much more cleverly put together compared to much of todays fps offerings.

While the PC can be far more powerful and is by far the most flexible it's bulky (not something I'd really want next to my cinema system) and with a bland OS that takes ages to load. It needed a gaming OS frontend on a flashrom with features that say it's the best of the best rather than something that gets put under an office desk. There is nothing that screams "you are buying and using the best".
Microsoft has played a large part as the PC as a gaming system co...

Kunar base map looked just like the Kabul City map.

As for realism it's not just an issue with the games but also the gamer - you stick a mechanical arm with a gun that shoots you every time you get shot in game and you'll definitely feel and play differently (or be dead lol).

I enjoyed MW2. It had plenty of content and while the SP wasn't exactly huge there was also the coop missions and 16 decent MP maps (compared to 8 tiny MoH maps and a short SP + no Coop missions etc).

And as for MW2 being much the same as Cod4 I can only think that this came from ppl who just like to talk trash for the sake of it as if you play them one after the player movement is totally different (PS3) as well as much improved texture detail (through streaming).

MW2's content was broken down into 3 parts, SP, MP and the SP&MP co-op missions. In MP there was 16 decent sized maps rather than 8 small "invisible wall ridden" maps. Half the content should equal half the price.
