Back Ops II SP was very good.
Didn't notice the jaggies specifically but thought everything needed a tweak of sharpening up. I've watched some PC clips and they all seemed much crisper.
The stuttering is likely just game code errors - even the PC version is suffering similar issues so likely a problem across the board.
It's difficult to really tell how good the PS4 version is as some of the softness seems to be deliberately added - but personally I preferred the PC clips I've seen.
Agreed, they had it right. It was fast and icons were small so you could view everything quickly.
If there was an option to select the icon size so I could view most of the weekly updates on a single page again it would help.
The direction Sony have gone in makes no sense.
So it's down to the developers and it costs too much!
So the PC has dedicated servers and you can even play 14+ yr old games that still have plenty of dedicated servers because there's an unlimited amount of cash for PC's
And the Xbox gets it because.. erm.. the devs only like spending more money on this console platform.
Really????
I feel that some are over valuing the costs of dedicated hosting.
...
I'd say the only real problem with PS3's online is 99% of games only support p2p.
Battlefield 3 gave PS3 gamers a real taste of a proper online "PC like" experience.
I really hate the endless counting down to find a suitable user's console as a host, then another countdown to configure the host then start game and... ANOTHER countdown!
(Not to mention when the host exits the game or having a real crappy connection too).

I'll still go back and have a blast on UT99 - with over 10,000 maps it never gets boring but for it to work on a console there must be an easy way to create user maps /mods and the option for keyboard / trackball / mouse.
Like Q3a, it's a twitch fps game and requires fast responsive control to work.
I feel this business model of paying xx for a rental is now outdated. Sony need to look at what Lovefilm, Netflix and now Sky (NowTV) are doing as they represent far better value.
I'm hoping the non x version will run a fair bit cooler.
I guess no adding your own music with GT6 - shame.
And I've played Bf games with a flight stick but that doesn't mean it's the norm.
Why do you find it necessary to bring up a handful of console exclusive games as an argument. It's the same handful each time yet there are so many games that never get to console.
Just browse the Steam library for starters. Then browse through the many years of games that you can still play, then browse through the retro/emulator games lists and then take a look at all the rts genre of games that don't get to consoles due to the limited controller.
And whe...
And it took 6 months to fix!!
It's more likely just a texture setting difference.
i.e. here's an old sample from UT2003. At the time the Nvidia cards looked as though they were offering much more detail than the ATI (AMD) cards but in reality it was just a detail setting. When you ran the game on NV card DefaultTexMipBias was -0.5000 but when played on ATI it was 0.0000. Fortunately you could change it to -0.5000 and both were identical. Quite naughty really as it was tricking both gamers and rev...
Yeah I loath them too :)
I loath image softness and it stands out a mile here - of course it could be that I'm viewing the sample on a large PC monitor which shows up everything.
More jaggies = not using anti aliasing, the res differences wouldn't be that noticeable except for the upsampling effects which softens the image.
PS4 version looks worse with soft textures - was expecting the PS4 version to be much the same or slightly better but it's certainly not the case in this example.
PC is gaming hardware is more expensive but I find it has a longer life IF you are happy to play at near console level graphics.
But it's also important to remember how much cheaper PC games are and with the PS4/X1 prices the gap is getting close to half so after 10 games you can be looking at a difference of £250/$400.
The PS4 yet again is opting with p2p online so you're reliant on a random user hosting and the endless countdowns as the game transfers t...
In my head I was comparing to BF3 SP :)
