With that pedigree of developers, I want it!
This is just too reasonable.
I hate that this is a thing.
Gamergate will never be able to shake the fact that the catalyst for all of this was the airing of dirty laundry from an ex-boyfriend. Even if the message of journalistic integrity from gamergate is pure, it doesn't matter. In the court of public opinion, the message is corrupted because its "misogynistic." This is just the way it is. No amount of internet typing will change this.
I'm all for getting more w...
HOWZIT!
I wonder why the guy on the right is saying his A's different than usual. Most South Africans say South Effrica.
So, have we entered the phase where the last Elder Scrolls game was better than the current one?
Morrowind still rocks.
Blatant fanboy article.
Its like saying Bloodbourne or Sunset Overdrive.
These two games are probably not alike.
I don't have any problem with this game existing so long as it stays out of the hands of kids. Obviously, it is meant for a mature audience.
Will I play it? No, probably not.
Hehe, no joke!
Overall, Bungie is doing a pretty good job. Though, there does need more content and more rewards for doing something at a harder difficulty.
Everything I wanted it to be? HAHA, no.
Am I thoroughly enjoying it? Totally.
Yeah, it was heavily rumored hat it was Boston.
I kinda wish they took a different locale as Boston is similar to DC.
Texas (which is in cannon), London (just think of the soundtrack), and Italy (the land marks...and can all have a strange religious spin), all would be more interesting than Boston to me.
But regardless, GIVE ME FALLOUT 4
"Loot Caves" are nonsense. Grind up your marks and faction rep. Buy gear from vendors. Can be up and running around lvl 26 in less than three weeks. Probably sooner, but no later than 2 1/2 weeks.
A game that introduced something "new" (nemesis system) and gave us a fresh experience...AND it did well?! There is hope for us gamers yet! I think if given another shot, they will make it even better!
Its a great game and I am enjoying it.
Pintheshadows,
I 100% agree with you in that the majority of #gamergate supporters have long since moved on.
An ethics policy stated on the website would be an excellent thing for many major websites to adopt and adhere to.
However, just because "gamergate" has moved on, doesn't mean gaming journalism has. Its a trump card that gaming journalism can and will play. There are immature d-bags that use slang/threats/etc. that mu...
As long as that is in the next Red Dead.
An impassioned argument for sure. One I can understand and agree with to a certain extent, but the issue is too clouded in this particular instance.
On one hand you have journalistic integrity. One that we "gamers" have long suspected of being corrupt to one extent or another.
On the other hand you have the catalyst being one that involves the sexual/private life of a female game developer.
There will be no traction on this iss...
Good for Unreal.
"Starting a dialogue around the ethics of covering the gaming industry is a worthwhile discussion but not in the context of Gamergate."
I agree with this statement. It is a very relevant concern and discussion and it needs to be had. However, I feel the catalyst that started this particular instance fundamentally corrupts the message.
Much like a Supreme Court case, SCOTUS only takes cases where the issue is perfectly teed up. In this case, the...
Awful, awful content for sure. But so long as the video game does not violate any current laws barring the depiction of child pornography, then...well...such is freedom of speech.
The content is abhorrent for sure.
But I believe in a developers right to make whatever game they choose under Freedom of Speech.
That trailer does seem less commentary and satire and more fantasy to me as well...but hey....just keep it out of the hands of kids.
As long as this game stays out of the hands of children, then knock themselves out.
I wont be playing it.
