If ya enjoy grinding, then this is a solid game. Gameplay is rock solid.
I'm an RPG guy and I like some grinding. Hence, I keep playing because I like the grinding...and I want to try out that Raid
Yeah, I don't see the point of this after level 24 or so. Your time really would be better spent grinding up your Vanguard Rank and purchasing legendary gear. It would take around a week.
"Disappointment" is a difficult concept...as that brings into account the hype train, expectations...etc.
If you compare the Destiny we have to the Destiny that was hyped, then yes, it is. (Who wouldn't want one part boarderlands, one part mass effect, one part Halo?).
That said, I was never hardcore on the hype train, and with the draught of games over the summer, I picked it up just wanting something to play.
There are certa...
I mean, if Assassins Creed and Batman Arkham didn't do it for you at all, then this likely wont either.
That said, if you thought both of those games were "fine" to "pretty good" then the nemesis system and the rest of the game will raise that to "great."
Nothing really stands out from the pack right now. Titanfall was supposed to be it, but it just didn't quite get there.
That said, Bloodbourne is a big one for me (and why I own a ps4).
It has been a rather weak year all things considered.
That said
Dark Souls 2, Shadow of Mordor, and potentially (since it isn't out yet..)Dragon Age Inquisition.
The art design always looks good.
Well, it is the same guy.
After the sting of having the game not be boarderlands plus mass effect plus Halo has worn off, Im enjoying the game.
Do some bounties, level up the vanguard (to buy legendary gear), do the strike playlist, do a public event, and do this every day...you will level up with little playtime (though it will take days to complete).
Well, older video games had much smaller audio cards so the music must be simple. Simple "jingles" are really more memorable than huge orchestral scores.
One is not better than the other.
I have gone back and forth for years about which game I thought was "better" Demon's or Dark. Dark's level design and melancholy world are certainly amazing. Enough for it to be number 2 game of last generation.
Ultimately, I have to give it to Demon's....I haven't felt that way playing a game in 20 years...maybe ever.
It was strange...weird....hard....So focused in vision....There was a mystery there that Dark didn't have. ...
Holy eff balls.
This game is excellent due to the "nemesis" system. A fresh new introduction to open world games (which surprisingly are very linear in story progression).
That said, there is an unintended "issue" with the game depending on how you look at it. Due to how excellent the nemesis system works...you get very wrapped up in your own vengeance story. Orcs that take your life will not stand!
By the time you swing around to the narrative (and it...
Yeah, I have never played it. I just don't see the appeal.
Shadow of Mordor rocks, so there that.
Bungie needs to patch in the grimoir cards in the game...at the very least and to just begin...They have a lot of work to do.
They are going for full market saturation. My goodness.
Oh, and the best Assassins Creed game came out today. Shadow of Mordor is everything AC wanted to be, but could not quite figure it out. (Minus the fancy historical locations).
Oh yeah, this game feels good.
Sure, if you could not stand the AC parkour thing, or the Batman combat, then its just going to work for you.
But the combat is great, the stealth works, the Nemisis systems totally works...and is great. Really, its that Nemesis system that really ties this whole thing together and puts it into something new.
Totally rocks.
Very timely interview considering the Destiny blowback.
I agree with this to an extent. The mainstream audience, especially those of the more FPS than anything else variety, will find this strange.
That said, the lack of content...I mean come on. The few strikes we get to grind are just not enough. The lack of any coherent story also is a big negative.
That said, I grind away because the gameplay is rock solid.
