Of course this article is correct.
It merely comes down to one question. Do you like raids and want to do a new one? If answer is yes, buy DLC. If answer is no, probably time to put down Destiny for awhile.
Article is a little ridiculous as it is concerned with bugs on an unannounce game.
Anyway, yes, it will have some bugs. Its Bethesda and its a huge open world. The question is whether they are minimizd and at an acceptable level.
Don't forget your heavy ammo synth.
That might be one of the best things xur is selling today.
The monthly subscription model can work, but you have to have two things. (1) A great game to begin with and (2) Constant upgrading of content and improvements.
FFXIV does both of these things.
The gameplay, guns and builds are fantastic. The raids are also awesome (even without matchmaking).
But for heaven's sakes, the grind is really out of control at this point.
Its one thing if this was a true MMO that had a huge expansive world with lots to do. This is simply a non-corridor shooter. That much grind should not be necessary to join the game.
Actully, in the top 5, was a fencing standoff I had against one of those fencer guys in Dark Souls while I was underlevledin he Undead chuch.
I was an epic battle that lasted for 15 min in which I reigned victorious.
So yeah, that should have been on the list.
That's fine. Give me another Red Dead!
Bungie has something here if they would just figure out how to run it.
Child of Light is a lovely little gem of a game.
But I don't think it can compete with DA:I or Shawdow
In terms of sales, Destiny succeeded.
There really is some great stuff out there right now.
For me...
Dragon Age,
Suikoden 2
and Destiny..Ugh, that effing game.
There were some flaws for sure, but I greatly enjoyed the game. I think the innovation with the nemesis system far outweighs the flaws of the game (no towns, pacing is a little off, not great end fights).
That said, a sequal has a lot of potential if address some of these concerns.
I mean, if you put this nemesis system, gameplay/combat, in...say...Black Flag (where there are proeducrally generated pirates on the 7 seas), then you would have a masterpiece.
Apparently, that guy would run the raid...delete the character, power level the same class of character to 20, give the high level gear, and run it again.
That's dedication.
Not familiar with premium MMO pricing?
The first month is free (on top of the full price 40 buck game you could find cheaper). then 13 bucks after that a month. You can sub and un-sub as you wish. Plus, each update gives a ton of content.
In other words, in this case, its not COMPLETELY unreasonable to charge this IMO.
Oh yes, a clear winner for sure. </sarcasm>
That said, it does look like MS with buying some of these game companies are looking to get back in the mix.
I just can't spend money to support these games any more. I loved Black Flag, but geesh. You have to vote with your wallet at some point.
That series needs to take a break and truly "re-boot" it from the ground up with Ubi's most talented stuido.
I agree with you in that the shooting mechanics, guns, builds and play styles are absolutely dead on. Its well designed.
The issue becomes they don't give us enough cool encounters to really play around with these guns and builds in encouters that matter.
Story is non-existant (though at least the DLC story is cohereant). That can be forgiven if they just gave us more instances to utilize different builds, guns, etc.
Bungie is on to s...
I dont see how anyone can be excited for a simple port of a game that is 17 years old.
Its good for sure...but fanfare for a flippin port of a 17 year old game? No thanks.
There is no fast way other than getting extremely lucky with RNG drops (which is actually a tad easier).
Grind your vanguard or crucible rank up to a new level twice and receive two commendations. (one per rank up).
Buy the helment (120 marks), chest (75 marks). Boots and gauntles are both (75) marks a piece but no commendation required.
OR, once xur hits on friday, see what exptic he has for sale in the armor department (or level up old ge...
We all benefit if there are alot of consoles sold. Ps4, Xbox One doesn't matter. More consoles, more reason to develop games. We get better and more games...
