It was a failure in terms of expectations.
It was a success in what they actually delivered.
If you got past the hype and the let down, you were left with an addictive rock solid shooter with some rpg grind elements and really fun raids.
I love FromSoftware.
Who would have thought that the game they had to hide a little bit from Sony (Demon's Souls), would go on to be the developer who would essentially usher in the next gen of Ps4.
I also love the marketing behind it. Some gameplay, some screenshots and a very simple statement that "there is more in the game, but we aren't going to tell you because we want you to figure it out for yourself."
The reason th...
Miyazaki is a gem in the industry.
Not only can he put replay value in the game, he makes a game that is seemingly uncompromising in his vision. It makes for a very specific and unique experience.
Nah, we are still here.
Good work Monster Hunter! Capcom, if you could please bring that game over to the big consoles, I will really appreciate it!
The raids are pretty freakin sweet really.
"Hardcore" games to me simply mean that the game demands alot from the player. A casual game is easy to pick up and play. "Hardcore" can mean lots of different things.
As it seems, Bloodborne will likely fall into a "hardcore" game and an addition to the "hardcore" library of the PS4, but hardly does it make it the ONLY choice.
I highly doubt that From Software will be "casualing this game up" as their history points otherwise.
Guess we will all find out in 2 weeks, but Im not worried. My guess is the game is balls hard, menacing, and beautiful. A few tech issues, but nothing awful.
I feel ya, but none of the "dream team" that created it is still there. As such, maybe its just better left alone.
Well, judging from some previews, Bloodborne is going to be fantastic.
There will be somoe gaming outlets that will rank it low because they think its too hard, others, will rank it highly because it clicks with them (Just like all the other souls games).
Regardless, PS owners are in for a treat with this one if this is they type of game they like.
I mean, this isn't an subscription MMO paid for monthly, so what does it matter if some gamers are playing other games?
I would expect that many who have grinded to 32 and chased many exotics will be back for HoW.
It is a shame its coming out the same day as Bloodborne because I feel the two fanbases likely will overlap.
That said, after my new found love of Monster Hunter, seeing if this is even 3/4ths as good means I will be picking it up.
I mean, is it as good/complex/difficult as Monster Hunter?
Looks awesome!
This is my first Monster Hunter and I freakin' love it.
I know Im dreaming here, but I would LOVE to see Capcom make one of these for the Ps4/Xbox One. Or whatever. It would be epic....like, woah epic.
Shame, the concept is good, and actually a little creative.
I hope Publishers and developers understand it was not the creativity of the game that crushed it, but all the DLC bs and/or full price game.
This kind of stuff is unacceptable, as with online harassment in games in general.
Games are fun, and anyone who wants to play should be welcomed to do so without being degraded.
Everyone keeps saying that. Lots of people still play.
She is free to say whatever she likes and for sure should be able to do so without any sort of physical violence, harrasment, etc.
I will continue enjoying games with or without her opinion.
I do hope that more women get involved in video game development. That would only benefit the industry in creating that much more nuanced content.
Some good games on that list.
Alpha Protocol had some brilliant elements to it. The concept was excellent as well.
A revisit to that idea would be outstanding.
But, is it as good as monster hunter?
