I enjoyed Kingdom of Amalur actually. With a little better quest design, the second one would have been pretty great.
Shame a new and promising IP got hammered.
Hotline Miami 2 was not as good as the first one. More times than not you are getting popped from off screen. Really frustrating.
Music is better though. Story is cool though more overly complicatated than it needed to be.
I also will chime in to say that Deadly Premonition is a fantastic ride.
The story and characters are quirky strange and interesting. Alot of personality.
Some of the "game" parts are tricky as in the map wont stay pointed North, no fast travel. Action sequenes are bad. Etc.
Regardless, its awesome.
I mean, my question is really...why?
Is something to be gained by doing this? Not that it is or isn't, I just don't see the point until someone can explain it to me.
I think Armored Core would be a step back for them at this point.
Right now, FromSoftware is white hot. I think a focus on what got them there (and it wasn't Armored Core) and continuning to innovate on that front should be the way to go.
Id be fascinated to see Miyazaki's take on Kings Field, but since he originally wanted a 3rd person game, I feel that is his forte. Not the FPS thing.
Regardless, just let Miyazaki do his thing an...
This too!
I mean for the majority of gamers, no i don't think it is too hard. However of that majority of gamers, I'm not sure who is willing to put in the time and the patience to learn the game and the fights.
It seems that number is growing and I hope Miyazaki and From keep on making this marvelous and fantastical games.
Besides, if you are having trouble, co-op makes most bosses a breeze.
Resonance of Fate was an experimental game that ultimately buckled under its interesting yet complex battle system.
I really enjoyed it, but wow is it niche.
I LOVE Bloodborne and it is easily the best game I have played since Dark Souls.
That said, I'm also glad not all games are like the Souls games.
After a 60 hour run through a Souls game, its nice to take a breather on something you can just put on autopilot.
Then, back to NG+.
Now, can From Software announce a new game? :D
Old Monk was really awesome.
Demon's love or hate it is still the most experimental of all of them.
Of all the stories in gaming, this one strikes me as silly and stupid.
"Youtuber gets pissed as he uses copyrighted material and told not to."
Not only that, he does admit he knows the cease letter is coming because he was "testing the water."
Whatever, all for publicity.
Gawd, I love the Souls games and Bloodborne so much...
I believe there is no question that Bloodborne is better than Dark Souls II (though that is comparing a masterpiece to an excellent game).
Bloodborne is more thoughtful and focused as to why things are happening the way they are. DSII has a lot of things going on and not quite sure why they are happening in the universe of Souls.
Regardless, Im curious to see the next step of From Softwa...
IMO, Shadow of Mordor really did kick it off. It implemented a system that was only partially imitiated on last generation. A system that made the game what it is. So, yeah.
Though I LOVE Bloodborne and the graphical inhancements that it delivered (I mean, just look at any given screen), the core concept is still something that could have been done on last gen.
We will see about Witcher 3. They have used some big words in promoting it, lets see if it deli...
Demon's Souls did this for me back in 2009.
I have bought every Miyazaki game day once since. Its SO EFFING GOOD!
It seems FromSoftware and the "Souls" games are going to be here to stay for a little while longer.
I feel a little sorry for the complainers. Its obvious that they want to be a part of all the hype and enjoy a game that many gamers (for better or worse) have crowned it (among a few others) as pre-requisite for the "hardcore."
Not saying its right or wrong, but that is what happened.
They have made some pretty big claims. I hope it turns out well!
Everything I see it looks great.
The director has said he did not include a women in the "group" because that was the story he wanted to tell. Sort of like guys on the camping trip. Guys on a camping trip is different from a co-ed camping trip. We all know this.
There is nothing inheriently wrong with that. Square has shown they have no problem including strong female leads (Terra, Celes, Lightening...etc.)
So yeah, I don't think it was because they thought the game would...
I thought that since the "patch" of Xur, he has rotated his wares pretty well.
People don't hate Xur, they hate that he doesn't sell Ghorn.
"Gotta love Atlus for bringing Demon's Souls stateside which started this whole frenzy"
These guys are the ones that got totally robbed in all of this.
Other than of course From Software for making the game, it was Atlus who saw the potential in the West.
I never asked for this...
Wait, yes I did.
