I think they should have Switch 2.0 with a Tegra X3 chip. They are about the same price in 2019 as Tegra X1 was when Switch was released. Volta based tegra would help Nintendo keep in frame-rates high at 1080p, the original art work would be presented sharper and overall visuals could match base ps4. It would also be two generations ahead in terms of battery power. Then in 2021-2022 or so, they could release a Switch 3.0, 4k docked, 1080p portable with better image quality (SMAA).

They didn’t say they weren’t interested in negative reviews, just not interested in badly written and biased reviews. Fair play to them.

There are many sub-par reviewers out there and the overall media is a mess. Particularly social media, so I wouldn’t even engage with anyone nowadays except directly via confidential emails. Everything gets blown out of proportion in a matter of minutes and your reputation is done based on hearsay.

I think this article...

Somewhere around 8% attach rate. Crazy for a new IP! It was a great game, still waiting for a good deal for the DLC. Liked the story a lot, the sequences were directed well.

Yes! I mean 4K support. They both would look great with it. I think the frame-rate, frame-pacing and memory/hdd related stutter is not an issue with Lost Odyssey any more, but I'd still want a 4K upgrade and better AA. Such a great game, best FF type of a game since FFX and until now. It is a bit shallow in terms of gameplay, but opens up later nicely.

What a wonderful idea to release a short of this. Very much looking forward to this! Perhaps a movie festival or free (ad based) distribution?

If Lost Odyssey joins the club, I have to buy the X. I still have Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon waiting to be completed, the original Japanese versions :)

Been clearing my backlog since 2016 November Black Friday sale... Mostly Metacritic 82+ games, and some that I bought in 2017.

Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank would be a pretty good combo. Or maybe Dark Souls II SOTFS.

Looks very good! I smell a bit of a rehash of the original concept and idea with some new ones on top of it, but this seems to be so well done and the team behind is pouring love into the project. A big risk for Sega as well. Besides, not many Japanese AAA turn-based tactical releasing nowadays (I wish SE would just remake all Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre games and the Final Fantasy Tactics with the original team.)

Pro has 9GB RAM. 1GB extra for the higher rez image buffer.

I don't think we will see a PS5 which will have 3x CPU power/cores/mhz, 10x the RAM, and 8x the GPU power like we saw earlier in each generational leap.

I think they should just brand it Playstation 4K and keep developing the same games for it with the bc. Game engines are scalable and one can have 2Tflop, 4Tflop, and 10Tflop versions. Just bump up the rez to 4K and increase FPS to 60 and have more detailed assets, shadows, AA, better Alpha effects and what not.

Has anyone here actually tried if the frame-rate, and particularly the frame-pacing is better than in the previous beta? It was pretty horrendous and the visuals were fairly muddy on Pro. The earlier beta's resolution mode gave something like 25-28 fps and had bad frame-pacing. The frame-rate mode was somewhere between 30-40fps, with a bit better pacing, but it felt uneven and unpolished still. Hopefully they fixed this, because it was the only thing that bothered me. Just a decent 30fps ...

Woah, better buy Nintendo stock. This thing will fly off the shelves.

Just play Elite 2: Frontier. With some graphics upgrades it looks great ever still and is a blast to play. My big brother who is closing on his 40s just bought it used and said he was more impressed with it than with any of the other latest and greatest open-world space sims.

Star Citizen is a scam. A very well-designed one that is. Particularly on the legal front it’s so solid that it is hard to poke at it other than as a failed overambitious project.

You are absolutely right. Disgaea is their biggest self-made IP. They have a lot of low-cost-low-return visual novels and what not that they publish or joint-develop. My reasoning is that they might be putting their returns to a new Disgaea game, or perhaps to a new medium-budget IP / Series. The latter bears a medium risk and high return potential if a new non-niche audience can be reached, and the former, which is the most likely choice, would be the safe and rinse-repeat business choice. Let's say they sold a copy for JPY5000 average, and they get 20% of the total of 200,000 sales, which would be in total around 1.5 million euros ($1.7M.) If they have 25 people team they can develop with that for a year, each averaging for 60,000€ per year per employee. It's very good for a "Complete" version of a game for a platform that probably didn't require much porting work.

In total they have 250 people in their company, so this is essentially p...

Wouldn't this guy be under NDA in regards to Microsoft's gaming business strategy, especially if his knowledge can benefit competitors or other players in the markets? I'd be pretty close to suing this guy if he worked for my company and would start leaking inside info to media after leaving.

Yes! The original FFT story was amazing. Writing was absolutely fantastic as well. The game was also the first real entry in the Ivalice world, followed by Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy XII. A true sequel to Tactics Ogre and in many ways much better. Incredible replayability as well. You have to be very very careful how you approach some of the battles and who you steal and what equipment to get some of the coolest stuff the game has to offer.
