I don't think they can finish Megaten V for next year.
Nier, GoW and Detroit are superb.
Mortal Kombat II PS4 version should have a Stability finish.
I'm with you Nyxus and Hardiman! I'm closing on 40s and really can't waste a second of my life with a game that doesn't move me or give me new thoughts or perspectives. Simply put, with the little time I have in the adult life, I can only afford to enjoy true gaming art.
If something like this would be underclocked to keep the heat and wattage low coupled with 8/16 CPU at around 3ghz, Sony/MS could really aim at RTX 2060 level of performance equivalent of Ryzen 2600X cpu. This would be a quantum leap over what we have now, particularly with 16gb fast memory, and actually provide native 4K30/60 (depending on title.) Even the price could be kept at $500 with a minor loss in the beginning in 2020 November I just really hope they have a Pro / X variant available ...
You are right!! The only good stuff that came out from them were FFX and FFXII remasters, and that’s because they didn’t touch them too much, just visually upgraded them slightly.
The company hasn’t been the same since Sakaguchi, Takahashi, and Matsuno left.
@ArchangelMike
You speak business, but you do not understand business. There is no $60 million profit in 1 million copies for anyone. Almost half of the revenue goes to publisher, then a chunk to a retailer or service provider, after that a smaller chunk to developer and so on. You need to learn the difference between money making and cost of sales (cogs), essentially revenue and profit to even understand the basics.
Oh yeah! I just bought 12 months of HK PS+, now I've got both Gravity Rushes to play on PS4 :)
Looks really bad. FFXII Remake looks better than this. I guess Pro or X might run this fine, but not even interested in the game, so nothing here for me. Resonance of Fate 4K is where the money goes.
Same here, stopped playing because I'm waiting for the HDR patch. I should stop buying games at launch, but I always fail when the hype machine works its magic!
You are onto something.
Just look at the games you want to play. I've been thinking about buying a PC, but I just cannot find a must-have exclusive that doesn't work well-enough on PS4 Pro to justify putting down $3000. Probably will just opt to wait for PS5 in 2020, and pay $350 difference for the upgrade after selling Pro. Don't need a great GPU or CPU to run web browsers, plus my TV has 4 cores and runs 4K Netflix / Youtube out of the box. I just hope PS5 will have two SKUs, one with disc-drive and an...
You just contradicted yourself.
Sounds like 2020 Q1 release date. I guess that would let them have custom Navi and nice ryzen 2 or 3 cpus. This thing would be a great mid-range PC with custom parts. Now the BC is the only thing that matters to me, as I've invested quite heavily in the PS3/PS4 ecosystems.
Ok! Good that I asked, because I've checked each and every trailer, and haven't really seen many populated areas or areas which could be used for single-player gameplay elements except for some areas where MGS-style sneaking / weapon play might be viable (buildings, sewers where there are those weird shadow things and some technomancers chasing a baby child etc.) I thought this is a kind of a third-person walking simulator with Kojima's cutscenes, which I actually would have prefe...
Does anyone remember how many people were working on this? Sounds like this is a very linear and shortish game (7-8hrs), but has some sort of areas where you can play around every now and then. I like the idea of a journey with superb backdrops, interesting music and strange occasional encounters. This will be akin to David Cage's work, I'd reckon. Probably reviews around 7-8 and divides a lot of opinions, but I'm going to like this as an "experience."
Originally it was made in Finland, and most actually Japanese know this. They also know that part of the animation series were developed with Japanese and Korean staff. Japanese acknowledge the history of Tove Jansson fairly well as well, and visit Finland's Moomin Land often. Essentially, Moomin = Finland for Japanese :)
This will be a hit in Japan. They love Moomin anything.
I'm going to wait and see what PS5 brings about and then make a decision about a gaming PC. I've been eyeing the (reasonable) top of the line stuff for two years now. I've noticed you get the best of the best parts at around 2800€ (not the best bang for buck, but after that it just gets increasingly incremental.) This would complete my PS5 for exclusives and PC for multiplats gaming platforms for at least from 2020 to 2024. Then maybe an upgrade of an GPU to PC and for PS5 get the...
It's been in full development less than a year, so I doubt it is a 2019 release even if they hurry it up. Unreal Engine 4 will probably lead to a faster development time, but they also have to learn it because Megaten V is the team's first UE4 game. 2020 November time, sure. Their development will accelerate after that significantly, so I'd expect a new Persona title in 2022 already.
