How hard is it for Americans to understand that you need a local person who can passionately and rationally explain Xbox is the next platform for Japanese games? Phil going there with a translator is already a failure as it is, and he doesn't understand anything about Japanese culture either, or business culture (which is entirely different from America's.)
They need either high level Japanese-speaking western people there, or Japanese people who are westernized to ...
5G Switch would sell like hotcakes if it can stream the latest games with ultra details and 1080p resolution 60fps. No other device in the world has that quality control of remote hardcore gameplay possibilities (can set it up on a small tray on train / plain and use various controller configs or just purely use it on your lap with controllers attached etc.)
This, I will buy. Thematically probably different than Nier, but it has the same feel in many ways in regards to telling a story about adults to adults.
What do you base your opinion on? There's no concrete data before the review embargo gets lifted. We only have non-concrete results from Nvidia, and it's the usual marketing mumbo jumbo you have repeated just there. I'm sure the cards are fast, but you are simply repeating what the company said, because there is nothing else to reflect on.
Fair enough. This is the kind of stuff that I wanted to know about the game since it's getting near perfect scores all the time, and I'm thinking of buying this now for PS4 Pro. I like a story in games like Xenogears, FFT, Chrono Cross, Deux Ex, Prey and so forth, but not sure if this would be something I'd like. I do love turn-base games like Xcom etc., because I'm busy with my life, and I want to have a kind of neverending chess match going on at home and beat it one turn at...
I'm one day hoping to do the same! Hopefully next year :)
Tempted to get an X for this, but I’ll wait for Project Scarlet for a few years and play this then. Maybe it’s close to the original, but enhanced even further and without bugs. Only interested in Halo campaigns, liked 1&2&ODST the best, Reach and 3 were ok. Didn’t touch 4 and 5, heard mixes things about the campaign. Still think Halo 1 was the best Scifi shooter among them. Level design, story and weird alien planet feeling and exploration was top notch. Maybe Infinite will try and r...
Good! Finish the game in peace and make it a masterpiece without too many bugs. Take your time. Too many games release a year early without polish nowadays.
It's not technically possible to have a 4K Switch, no matter what the dock is like, because the main unit is the actual Switch, and no Switch can with any custom or already known hardware render 4K without costing $1500.
I second that. And it ain't nostalgia, it's real.
1. BC to all PSX, PS2, PS3 and PS4 titles.
2. Two SKUs (Standard and Pro) from the start, Many can pay 799€ for a more powerful box, some want to pay 399€ only.
3. PSVR2 and PSP2 compat and streaming via 5G to both
4. Full SSD / NVME compatibility
5. HDMI 2.1 support and better audiochip
6. Option to go full digital or full physical
This would be my ultimate dream
machine :)
@uptownsoul
What really counts is the margin Nintendo sold each console vs. Sony’s for these hardware numbers to be comparable. Nintendo probably had a much higher mark up.
However, Sony’s digital services probably have much larger volume than Nintendo. Switch is a gold mine on the digital front again, though.
Comparing oranges and apples here. They are all consoles, but the business model has fundamentally always been different. You ha...
Be cautious: the best mode, the Ironman mode, is unplayable on PS4!!!
I loved the gameplay, strange story, and finished it thrice (incl. expansion twice), but when I started the Ironman mode I realized that is the best way to play the game. Then I lost Ironman save data due to a crash (bug) and won't be touching this again, ever. I just cannot pour 10+ hours to a game during my busy life and have my save file lost. Unacceptable. Time is money.
Probably not the point here, but you can finish any game in a minute by taking the disc / cartridge / software and destroying it. Doesn't mean you have experienced it, which is what you paid for.
That's just an explanation about what the "foreign version" of Famicom is called, and it just says it is pronounced "nesu" which is a very normal way of interpreting the letters "NES" in katakana. Why would there be any dakuten anyway? It's pretty self-explanatory. Why am I even commenting on this. It's waste of my time lol
Just give everyone an option: 1x $499 SKU or 1x $799 SKU. Same games, different settings. Enough to double the performance to high-range-ish PC. I really don’t want to buy a $399 box that won’t have enough horsepower to fight mid-range PCs for more than a year. I would have to wait for the Pro version for another 3 years. Plus, I want full SSD support. PS4 Pro + SSD is a mandatory for a decent experience, but it doesn’t utilize it fully.
I can pay $1200-$1500 for a full co...
It’s impossible to still do 4K / 60 gaming on ultra. The 7nm flagship cards (from 1280ti) will finally provide that, and even then it will be High settings instead of Ultra on games that release after a year or two the card is out. For 4K / 30 we are already there, but this is what the next-gen consoles will do so there’s not a very good value proposition for buying a videocard until 7nm flagships come out.
I think Quantic Dreams Games, particularly the ones with multiple endings and outcomes, are more games than say, Dragon’s Lair or Space Ace.
”They” are people with families. ”They” are people with extraordinary skills and talent, which very much belongs to ”themselves.” Insomniac is full of normal people just like you and me, and just like you and me, these people and their creativity doesn’t belong to anyone. People are not products or machines that belong to someone. Why don’t we let them decide what is best for themselves, because I’m very sure they are not telling you where you belong or what you should do.
Just bought Diablo 2 + Expansion today. Have got D3 with both expansions and playes it thro four times. When I fired up Diablo 2 today, it just instantly was the better game. From movies, writing of dialogue, character development, loot / trading / item system + other gems / runes, overall gameplay, to graphics style and grit etc. Going to have more fun than I had with D3 ever this weekend :)
