Yeah, you are right. The golden age of Squaresoft was with: Chrono Trigger, FFVI, FFVII, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, FFT, Vagrant Story and FFIX. Just replaying Xenogears, and I have to say the story is phenomenal. Xenogears in its rough format for example is much better than most of the new games that come out more polished and with great graphics and streamlined gameplay.
FFXV was just a horrible mess. So was FFXIII. FFXII was good, but they didn't let Matsuno to comple...
Clickbait article. The game is a 10/10 and an instant classic and a masterpiece. Just buy it and enjoy it! :)
GOW is just so good, and pretty. This is exactly why I'm holding off a gaming PC purchase. Instead, I will probably opt for the next Playstation. Just two more years to go with PS4 Pro, which is good enough for now with its HDR + checkerboard rendering.
I understand what you mean, but I have seen so many amazing things, including combat, story and overall art design, that I already was hooked by the first two hours. It's just way higher caliber than anything else out there.
Played 1 hour of it and even my wife was moved by the scenes and extremely impressed by the explosive combat. The thematics are extremely mature, and the storytelling looks like to be on par of The Last of Us, but surpasses it in regards to gameplay system and complexity. Need to finish work asap to get back to it. Haven't been this impressed by a game since The Last of Us, and Bloodborne. This is an instant classic and will be remembered for years to come. Metacritic 95 among almost 100 ...
Got the exact same set and love it. Wanted to have 75”, but it was almost double the price. The HDR 4K checkerboarded games look so good. GOW tomorrow night. It’s going to be waiting me once I get back home from the last meeting...
The atmosphere in BOTW is unmatched in today's open world games. It gave me and my wife a feeling that we are constantly witnessing high level art in regards to music and art design, but also extremely interesting world and experiencing a feeling of being lost in a huge world. The music and sound design was also top notch. It's not about the feeling that you end up with after finishing it, but the feeling when you first enter the world and roam it for the first 50 hours. Those hours w...
This is actually on par with BB, but longer and more complicated in terms of gameplay and lore. Also, the environments are more varied and there are more meaningful secrets and entirely different ways to play the game. It’s almost open-world. I like BB a lot, but it is kind of an action game compared to original DS, which is the best of the souls games in my humble opinion.
This game cannot be saved. They always add stuff that does not fix the main game. It is just simply an extremely dull mining simulator, where every place is exactly the same with a new color palette or extremely weirdly randomized animals which do absolutely nothing. You can get good images and make up good stories about No Man's Sky, but the actual playing, when you progress further, is extremely tedious and the menu system is broken and everything else is just so meh and boring and over...
There is Easter sale going on in EU/UK stores, but not yet in the US store. Maybe it will hit the store today on 30th of March?
Won't be finishing Witcher 3 before the full non-buggy PS4 Pro HDR patch is out. Been waiting for this, and playing other games from the backlog. In fact, I think I played 8 other games in the last 6 months. Jesus, where do I get the time... I work like 50hrs a week and had only two mandatory days off... *reflecting on life*
Yes! This is exactly me as well. Can't play games if they provide me only entertainment or "fun". Sometimes games like Mario Odyssey and Zelda BOTW have the "why" in just looking at the art and fun, but that still has the "why". However, narrative driven games with a strong message and characters I care are the most interesting ones for me. I like games made for 25-50 years old people in mind. I'd love to have more business related games, the equivalent o...
This looks very tedious. Looks like this will be 6/10 game and 7/10 at best. Art is uninspired, but animation is decent while also being uninspired. Looks like a 25yo made a game on UE4 after playing DMC and Final Fantasies of the past and wanted to mash them up. Nothing new here, move along!
Cryptocurrencies are a scam. Smart money doesn’t invest there. Nvidia is doing the right thing to focus on value markets, instead of bubbles. That’s where the tint AMD can’t compete anyway, not enough budget for R&D.
Blockchain tech is solid tho, and that’s where some money might be. DYOD.
You guys will feel that definitely early 2020 when GTX 3080 is out and doing 4K 60fps with ultra details. That's when we start seeing High Detail settings games 30fps on consoles and that's when they are ready to come out :)
I think it has more to do with the tech than games. I've been today trying to figure out with the AMD Zen+ leaks that reveal at least a bit what the next PS5 could look like, but I don't know... these chips are 8/16 cores/threads and cost a lot... and the AMD GPUs haven't really evolved that much from the R580 days which the Pro has. They need to probably aim at 30fps 4K native with higher fidelity visuals, because 4K 60fps is not going to fly if the hardware is finished Q1 2019 a...
I respect you for taking time to reply and accepting criticism. Also, you probably want to fix the grammar and writing mistakes! ;) Good luck with your future articles!
Apologies for being critical, but I do not believe any "Digital vs. Physical" article is serious if they do not realize how much of the environment digital games save. The hard plastic covers and discs, paper prints, logistics and manufacturing behind it, are the worst environmentally. I do digital honestly partly because of it being environment friendly. I don't want to become of those "I don't care, as long as I get everything cheap" people, and vote with my wall...
Horizon 2 would be a killer PS5 launch title late 2019 or early 2020. They would have 3-4 years to make it (a perfect time for a sequel with an established design and scalable graphics engine) and would most likely spike the sales in the beginning. If it is a cross-generation platform game, it would mean it will launch on three systems, PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5, which would most likely eat up resources, but is still manageable if they have enough time.
I'd rather have it on...
Good! Make it better for next year! :)
