CFOs do not make decisions on what to develop. They make forecasts, do managerial accounting and look after the finance team whose job is to track money that goes in and out the company. They also make sure the money the company has is not wasted. They might look after HR, legal and procurement, depending on the company structure.

Aye, that's what I meant to say, PS5 for me instead of a PC with twice or quadruple the price. Have been thinking of a 2080ti, dual monitor 1440p setup and all the bells and whistles, but I'd rather invest the money in stocks or pay back mortgage. The only I'd like to play are Total War games on PC. Not much of a multiplat gamer otherwise, except when it comes to certain Japanese games
Would be tempting to build a PC using 1K€ and RTX 2060 at its heart. Might have a good balance going into 2019, but I think PS5 would be similar with optimizations and probably half the price, so no go for me right now. My fast i7 ultrabook does all the PC stuff for me for now.

I predict the two games are BB2 and Dark Souls IV. They should move King's Field to VR, it's perfect for it. Demon's Souls remake will probably be done by the Dark Souls remake team with minor upgrades again.
I play my backlogs away and buy games mostly on Black Fridays. I was down to 3 games during Spring time this year.
Games cost me around $600 a year, including all the games for the family. I'm relatively well off and would have money to buy all the games I want at launch prices. I just choose to control myself and buy stuff that is typically over 85 on Metacritic and on a discount, or really only buy the genre I enjoy (and even then it needs to be at least over 80/100.)...
What I'd like to see are actually Gamecube, Wii and WiiU games remasters. I'd love to have best Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, The Last Story, Baten Kaitos trilogy, Metroid Prime trilogy, Zelda remaster collection (twilight, wind waker, skyward) and all the exclusive WiiU stuff. Just make a "New Switch LL" or something, release the virtual console and all this stuff and new exclusives and you've got the best selling console family of this and next gen :)
Yeah it'll probably come next year to the US. The music, by the way, is pretty much the best Dragon Quest has to offer. A huge plus for someone who has to watch the other one to play it for 14 hours a day ha!
I read what David wrote, took a look at a few of his earlier posts, seen a few of his streams as well, and in the end I read four of your long posts here. I applied a normal critical point of view to what you wrote, and that was the result. Your arguments do not hold.

Builders 2 rocks! Superbly weird, fun and quirky game with excellent design enhancements over the original. Just watching it is fun, particularly when you get past the first large area.
PS2 was an exception, not the rule, and then people bought it because it was the cheapest DVD player which could play games. PS3 tried to repeat the magic, but Blu-Ray had competition with HD-DVD, and the games and price of the consoles were driving the sales anyway. Typically Famitsu doesn't care about the value proposition and just looks at games individually so the score made me think if this Mario game wasn't as good as most of them. Between Odyssey and this, which do you think is the greater fun for two people?
I think the Dragon Quest Builders 2 score was spot on, my wife is having such a blast playing it. She has built entire valleys with railroads... Completely absorbed in the game, stealing my holiday game time... We were thinking of buying that 2D Mario game, but not sure after these scores if its worth it.

You are wrong, they did actually add Japanese voices to DQVIII 3DS JP version, so there's hope with this one as well. To update other versions, it would not be such a huge job as they are the same actors, same Japanese language with same scenes from Switch DQXI version. Maybe this would come to PS4 and PC a year from DQXI S release.
They better update the PS4 version with the voices as well. Paid a full price at launch and that was around $110 (in Japan games are expensive at release and dirt cheap a few months later used.) That was the last game I bought from PSN Japan store though, have been buying games $45 cheaper from HK store, they have original Japanese versions as well. Sony better not start changing the HK store and restrict Japanese language versions to Japan only...
Would be happy to play a high quality Megaten V on my Switch this year. Am just a bit sceptical, as all of the other entries took much longer to develop and they had to learn Unreal Engine 4 and do high def graphics the first time.
