That will also get rid of some of the stutterings, as Vsync is broken when used with the HD Texture pack. With unlocked framerate I get a huge boost, but RTSS and Adrenalin control panel do not get me to a locked 60, at least not without screen tearing. HD Textures removed the game looks almost exactly the same but when Vsynced it's smooth. It also solves the streaming issues.
I like the campaign!
Running heavy undervolt and watercooled on 6900xt 100-170W, 5600X 30-40W, the game runs at 4K60 dynamic (doesn’t drop res almost at all), all maxed out. I had to uninstall the HD Texture pack because it caused heavy stutters and fps drops, can’t see the difference, but runs 30% faster with much less stutters.
Halo Infinite is very badly optimized, but you can get a good experience if you learn what the settings do. Vsync, Dynamic Scal...
I just really don't understand Cyberpunk.
First the player goes into this hyperrealistic conversation and characterization, really well written stuff. Then suddenly, in the next moment you run in middle of a high way, rob a car in front of 100 people, who do not react at all, and aftewards you shoot and kill a six or seven people without almost any real reaction in an incredibly technological and orwellian world in which there are cameras everywhere. Maybe you'll ha...
It sounds like 1.5 is a performance patch rather than a content patch. I'm sure they will make a great advertisement video about how they have added three new vehicles, two hair styles and one gun. But in reality, Night City stays as a ghost town, and the game has an oversimplified gameplay and systems. They needed two more years, and they should have cut the last gen versions early on in the development.
Disco Elysium, Xenogears, Vagrant Story and Dragon Quest V should be on there, or just simply added. Chrono Cross was great, too, and so was Xenosaga I-III, but not among the top. Mother 2 is really good too.
That's why having a bit of an overkill gaming PC makes life a bit easier. It is a hefty price tag to pay, but it does result to much less worries when playing latest games. It should not be like that, however, and I do hope From Software will sort out the performance for consoles. Unfortunately given their resources, I think they'll do a patch or two, and after that focus on DLC. This will end up like DS3, uneven performance mode on PS4P.
I hope in the background th...
Now that I think about it, I think you are right. Games are a better experience after 3-12 months worth patching, and during that time they are cheaper as well. And not by a small margin, some games go to 50% of price within 9 months. In some cases, Nintendo games can be worth it, though. They are often very polished and selcom come down in price, at least not within a year.
I hope they would go to a more narrative driven direction where there are only a handful of sidequests that tie directly to the story, not indirectly. Something like Shenmue, maybe a smaller town or village, with some mystique and blurring the lines of reality and fantasy. Perhaps I'll play Persona 4 for that Inaka experience. One thing I'd like to have from them, is a fully voiced game, there's always so much text in the games. For that, a smaller scale wouldn't be bad.

Mate, I don't care if someone else doesn't remember a game when I'm about to play it. I really don't play games, watch movies, listen music or read books, or do anything based on what the trend in the world is at that particular time. Right now I'm playing Original Sin 2, Dragon's Dogma, Nioh 2, Ace Combat 7, Nier Replicant, Homeworld Remastered, Full Throttle, Persona 4, Planetfall, Death Stranding and a Plague Tale. None of them have a...
If all of that is true, I'm a happy man! I would just want The Last of Us 2 on PC, and I wouldn't need a PS5 at all.
@Magog, Agree 100%. Vagrant Story is incredibly well written and directed. Both in Japanese and English.
I don't think it's underrated at all! It also sold pretty well for that type of a game. I'm at the very last part, almost finished. What an incredible internal and external journey it has been. It kind of defined me as a person quite a bit. Looking forward to their next game! I don't even need it to be larger in scale, just hope they keep up the quality.
Good! I want a deeper, longer and even more complex Deathloop type of a game, or a completely new IP where they test out their mind-bending, interesting ideas!
The impact on image quality depends on the base resolution and mode. Ultra performance mode at 1080p vs Quality mode at 4K are both DLSS, but look very different. You have to be specific about your statement or it may be misleading.
This is all fantastic news if true! More choice for everyone. Seems like buying a high-end PC recently was a good choice, all those exclusives will run great. Less and less a need for a PS5 now. I just need to think what to do with my PS4 library… It’s huge, and I don’t have a console anymore to access it. Not that I play old games anymore. If there was an upgrade path from PS Accounts to PC, that would be bonkers. Might have to buy unfinished games again on PC… Or maybe I’ll buy a cheap PS5 ...
I was completely sold on this. Watched the trailer three times and can't wait to play the campaign! PC for me.
No FSR support :( Hopefully they patch that in, because I have a feeling at 4K this won't hold 60fps at ultra on 6900xt. Unless, they've got the right people on the port, and then it will do 90-100fps. Might actually buy this again on PC, enjoyed the original on PS4 Pro, but felt the game was restricted by the system. Was quite choppy. The game itself? Fantastic! The bosses, loot and some small things here and there I didn't like, but 90% of the time it was just amazing.
Personally, I can’t get into any Far Cry games. All GTA games, and even RDR2 are just impossibly boring due to how juvenile they are. Deathloop has an attitude, and fantastic dialogue / writing. v1.1 on PC fixed all problems for me. Ultra, Ray Tracing Quality, FSR Ultra Quality and Vsync on 4K60 95% of the time with some occasional slowdowns here and there which are fine by me. If I turn RT to performance or off it becomes 100% locked 4K60. Mouse + KB is smooth as well. I don’t think it’s a 1...
I’ve played 10hrs of Deathloop and can honestly say that it’s the best game Arkane has done. Am a big fan of Prey and Dishonored. It’s just the feeling of ”woah, this is so cool…” when you play it. I tend to agree often much more with critical reviews rather than the public. I think I will enjoy Ghost of Tsushima on PS5/PC/PS5 Pro regardless of what platform I’m going to play it on.
@Magog
Mark Zuckerberg may not be the most likeable guy, but he also built a 86 billion dollar company in 15 years from scratch. That is an astounding achievement. Plus he changed, for better or worse, how mankind communicates. That means he cannot be an idiot, in any sense of the word, and the fact that you suggest he is, says more about you than him.
