I thoroughly enjoyed Days Gone on PC, there's just something about Sony exclusives that always make me finish them. I do wonder if this is better or similar quality. Hope they can improve the graphics a bit more than what they did with Days Gone on PC.

Death Stranding got released!

It does indeed! I've been always for 3K+ resolution upscaled to 4K. If it's done right, it looks quite close to 4K. This gives longer life to consoles and GPUs in PCs. Now, I can't wait for this to come to PC.

It was a solid 8 for me. I think if they would combine the 2016 Doom's exploration and Eternal's action into one larger, more varied and complex game, it would be better for it. They should also drop the incredibly juvenile story component, and opt for a Dark Souls type of a puzzle based, silent world-building. They explained way too much, nobody wants to read page after page in an action FPS. The writing itself was also disconnected from the game's feel.

I still think DQV PS2 edition is the best DQ game made. It’s classic, dark, interesting and the system is well balanced. The plot is quite interesting, a bit similar how Breath of Fire IV approached evolving the story as you go, but with different thematics.

And that's the very reason I haven't bought a PS5 yet. And the price is double of what it should be as well here in Japan.

Haha well yeah, I don't know if shooting animals with dual wielding handguns is the better option here. I mean, I'm sure human mind has more creative ways to make one feel interested in a new environment and explore. A great example of that is Disco Elysium.

I enjoyed Shadow the most due to the focus on exploration.

A bit unrelated rant, but it does involve my biggest gripe with the Tomb Raider series: I don’t like killing people in games just like that in dozens and dozens. Makes me feel like a mass murderer instead of an adventurer and explorer. I wish games had killing only when it’s incredibly significant or there’s no way around it (because that’s how normal people act), and they’d explore the side effects it has on human...

Yours is definitely better than mine. I can do 2.65ghz and that’s the limit. Plus I have bad quality silicon so undervolting with MPT at those speeds do not work. Additionally, I’ve had to repaste the card 8 times, because the temps are too high, and every time something goes wrong with the mount, paste or pads. But Once I get it back to normal temps, it still runs games well, and 21K timespy score with any card is not bad. I wasted 75 usd for trying to fix it cuz I bought it used, but only s...

My Red Devil 6900xt @ 2650mhz is ready for FSR! With the OC + MPT it's 14% faster than stock 6900xt and will have RT performance on par with 3080 or better in games like Resident Evil Village. And it has 16GB Vram and better rasterization performance when RT is not available. Resident Evil Village uses already 9.85GB of VRAM in 4K RT ultra as per the Guru3D article. The card stays cooler than rtx 3090 as well, and scores 21K on Timespy. Come on FSR show me the FPS!

It makes absolutely sense. They would let their investor know early on for sure if they are going to release a Final Fantasy game, because they sell a lot ->generate revenue->advances the stock price.

For investors the whole point is predictability, not surprised. It’s not ready yet. Late 2022 sounds about right.

I know it's not fair to put it like this, but it's amazing in its own right that they needed $358,000,000.00 to have missiles in the game.

I played until the third expansion and finished it, never got into the post-game stuff too much, it was kind of boring. Wondering if it would make sense to start this over for one more round from the beginning to the end. FFXIV didn't have the charm this has, didn't like the system as it didn't have that much freedom in terms of equipment (not enough random stuff that could drop and change the game for you, very linear progression.) Although I love the music in FFXIV and it is ve...

I really do wonder how this will run on PS5 and XSX because rtx 6900xt cannot run it 1440p60 maxed out. Serious optimization needed and maybe AMD PC gamers will get it with the console releases. The whole game is an Nvidia commercial made for Nvidia cards.

They do have three teams nowadays, though. I believe two teams, one of which made Sekiro, is now working on this. This would be Miyazaki's own game where he also uses his top guys to create a true successor to the Souls series (not just a sequel or prequel.) Team 1 has been most likely working on this for longer. Now, perhaps the third team is working on Bloodborne 2 or Dark Souls 4, who knows.

Brilliant art, gameplay and atmosphere. This is exactly what a 5700xt can do when exclusively worked on in current gen consoles. It's the same as last gen, the Pro will be "4K" when it comes to graphically intensive games. Only this time, the games are 60fps from the beginning. I wonder how well 6900xt could run this...

3080 works OK with 1080p RT and DLSS, that's a solid 60fps on all games. Some games hover around 60 at 1440p. The optimizations for RT are going to be the key this gen. As always, first implementation of the tech is going to be much slower compared to new ones where devs find ways to get the same effects work faster. It's kind of like AA, first you brute force it, then you find a couple of new ways to do it, and finally you have stuff like TAA which is implemented in the game engine a...

I’ve only seen consoles ”punch above their weight” (whatever that means in technical terms) in exclusive titles. In 3rd party multiplat titles they will perform exactly like their PC components they have. PS5’s 36 CUs and Series X 52 CUs will perform like 6600xt and 6700xt (or worse). They are powerlimited and spec limited. PC is more complicated and games never work (they need more setting up etc.) as straightforward, but the hardware specs cannot simply be surpassed. Optimizations Developer...

I love this guy! His original song is a huge hit in Japan, and I suggest you all check it out. The way they modified the lyrics for this trailer is genius.

Great for people overseas, but bad for people here in Tokyo, because now the prices will go absolutely nuts. They are a business, so I do understand it. I hope the nostalgia value of the store itself will stay the same. I love walking past it in Akihabara, they have Chrono Trigger on an original Snes running in a CRT on and other stuff like that, hundreds and hundreds Snes cartridges, and thousands of old classic games in the shop. I hope they stay real instead of going for the money...
