Looks stunning! A small but needed evolution from DS3. Can’t wait to get my hands on this asap!
The more Nvidia pushes RT, the less interested I seem to be in it. I still take SSR with a faster performance over RT.
Also, the panic release of 3090ti to combat 6900xt, which is becoming faster as drivers get better, was the last draw for me. No need to waste silicon for a pissing contest, give people 3080s at a reasonable price if you have the parts.
The Japanese post he made didn't say he cancelled a game, but that the ART project was incomplete.
Apparently, Series S outsold X by a large margin.
Graphics and art design are two different things. While both are technical and creative, art has no limitations whereas graphics do based on the hardware. Graphics relate to stuff like lighting, textures, draw distance, stability of the image and input resolution.
I think a lot of people play From Software’s games due to their superb art design, lore and atmosphere, and gameplay and customization.
I agree! I'd like to see much more optimization from devs, seems like PC is always the afterthought. But at the same time, typically after 12-18 months of patches and new drivers for GPUs, the games tend to perform linearly compared to consoles in the end. I mean I remember my PS4 Pro looking stunning on Shadow of the Tomb Raider checkerboarded 4K, but if you put the PS5 version against similar RDNA2 parts, they actually perform as per the specs. Consoles do tend to slightly punch above t...
I'm actually very interested in this! Cleared every single DQ mainline game. However, X offline does look quite rough and basic. If they flesh out the core, this could be good. Just like DQV PS2 version is one of the best turn-based games ever made.
In the end, X offline cannot top XI, which puts it to a strange place. It seems like SE cannot decide if they should bet on a cash grab or a good game. Delaying the game is leaning towards the latter, which is good!
Couple of points:
1) Check Mark Cerny's presentation, he said himself PS5 is based on variable frequency. Look at the curves, they go up and down on that presentation slide. The CPU boost is also affected by the GPU and vice versa, it is a very dynamic set up. Surely it continuously boosts, but no iGPU with less thermal headroom and having smaller power budget, such as a PS5 iGPU vs desktop part, can be constantly at exactly 2225mhz at all times in all games. It just do...
This is a very good list! Three games that came to mind immediately when seeing the title were: Nier Replicant, Halo Infinite, and Deathloop. Haven't listened to Returnal music yet, it seems to be copyrighted on youtube, but will be getting that game on PC or if there's a PS5 Pro coming, maybe on that. Housemarque's games always had a stellar OST, all the way from Stardust 1994!

Here's a 6800XT that goes up to 2.7ghz, I put 2.5ghz there because it's between the real-world clocks and OC clocks. Here's some footage between 2.35ghz-2.7ghz for you: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
PS5 absolute max boost clock is: 2.23GHz. But it rarely goes there, whereas a normal AIB 6800xt you buy from the store goes between 2.35-2.5ghz, and if you OC it heavily it can ...
Factually incorrect. Check your facts please.
Correct. Exactly my point earlier.
Oh dear... They need Nixxes to do these ports. Maybe they will fix both Uncharted and God of War in the next 12 months. Horizon took 18 months to get where it should have been at launch. Regardless, not going to touch GoW or Uncharted collection even if they ran at 4K60 just about using FSR UQ, because I don't want my GPU at 99% utilization at all times if it really should be at 50% running these old games at half the wattage it should require.
What crappy advertisement by AMD! If that's an indication of the performance, not going to double dip on this.
Let's see: 6800XT vs PS5. 2.5ghz vs 2.2ghz, 72 CUs vs 36 CUs, 16GB vs 12GB Vram. PS5 runs 1080-1620p upscaled to 4K at medium details 60fps almost flawlessly. Meaning 120fps+ at same resolutions and detail at the very minimum for 6800xt if optimized correctly. 6800xt should run this natively at 4K 60-90fps ultra quality.
If God of War PC...
Enjoy it mate! I thought it was on par with TLOU.
This begs the question: Is 1440p native, or upscaled, and is 4K native or upscaled? If indeed PS5 can use something like FSR Quality mode to upscaled 1440p at 60fps to 4K, it will be a sight to behold. On the otherhand, if the 1440p is DSR, and maybe the resolution is somewhere between 900p-1440p to hold the 60fps on a graphics heavy game like Forspoken, that's another story entirely.
If they talk about native resolutions, Forspoken would continue the trend and shows th...

Mark Zuckerberg may not be the most likeable guy, but he also built a 86 billion dollar company in 15 years from scratch. That is an astounding achievement. Plus he changed, for better or worse, how mankind communicates. That means he cannot be an idiot, in any sense of the word, and the fact that you suggest he is, says more about you than him.
That will also get rid of some of the stutterings, as Vsync is broken when used with the HD Texture pack. With unlocked framerate I get a huge boost, but RTSS and Adrenalin control panel do not get me to a locked 60, at least not without screen tearing. HD Textures removed the game looks almost exactly the same but when Vsynced it's smooth. It also solves the streaming issues.
I like the campaign!
Running heavy undervolt and watercooled on 6900xt 100-170W, 5600X 30-40W, the game runs at 4K60 dynamic (doesn’t drop res almost at all), all maxed out. I had to uninstall the HD Texture pack because it caused heavy stutters and fps drops, can’t see the difference, but runs 30% faster with much less stutters.
Halo Infinite is very badly optimized, but you can get a good experience if you learn what the settings do. Vsync, Dynamic Scal...
Yeah it's pretty crap right now for GPUs. While we do of course need to adjust the prices to inflation, they are still way too high. Nvidia is being really shady here. Their corporate practices are one of the reason I went with Red team.
I ended up paying 1200€ for my used 6900xt in the end (from a shop with 2 weeks warranty), but had problems with the mount and temps, and had no OEM warranty, so I went in the end with custom watercooling. That cost me quite a bit on to...
