But it doesn't have destructible environments and tons of vehicles. I love KZ3, but on the technical side, sacrifices have to be made to make space for other things.
It's Ridge Racer! RIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RAAACER!!!
Yeah, you're right, Hassassin. I know a fair bit enough about computers (at least enough to know to use Google instead Geek Squad), I like a variety of games and I'm willing to adapt to different play styles. I think I'm gonna get that PC. Thanks!
I think you've been following your username way too much.
Yup, nvm, I was only looking at first day sales.
Black Ops made $360 Million on the first day
Halo: Reach made $200 Million on the first day
I'm honestly very confused. I've been wanting to get a gaming PC for a while now, but when the time's come that I have the opportunity to, I'm wondering if it's worth it or not. The consoles have pretty much all the games that PC does, bar a few, and although there are a few good exclusives coming out, is it worth it dropping $750 when I already have a PS3 to play on? If a PC gamer could convince me to get one, or warn me not to, I'd really appreciate it.
Money. That's why.
A decent gaming PC is generally about $600 more than a console. You'd have to buy about 60 games to break even on the prices. Unless you take into account those wonderful deals on Steam, of course.
Except if Halo was multiplatform, it would demolish the Call of Duty's in sales.
Although I do agree with you on the point that games being hardcore or not are completely based on opinion, I would, under no circumstances, say a game like The Sims or Farmville are hardcore, mainly because they have no challenge in them at all. They have no way in which you can lose, no real goal, etc... (The Sims may have some self-set rules to make the game difficult, but I'm not very familiar with (only played it a few times)).
For example, a person playing Minecra...
Did you just say Mario and Zelda are hard to beat? That's an outright lie. Maybe Super Mario Bros., but that's probably it. The NES games were cheaply difficult anyways.
Exactly. Any game that you can own in when it's your first time playing is definitely not hardcore. Games like Demon's Souls are hardcore because they require you to get through that difficulty before tackling the real enjoyment of the game. Although, if games are extremely hard to the point of impossibility, it doesn't make it enjoyable at all.
Ok... so Farmville (stealing off of previous poster) is hardcore because it has a lot of fanboys/fangirls addicted to it?
So... I watched a 30 second advertisement just to see a crappy 10 second teaser not pertaining to the game at all?
That plus mod support would be a dream!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! /s
Yeah, exactly. I mean, the bullet should always hit exactly where you're pointing at no matter how long you shoot, because it's not fun at all if you can't get any kills by spraying. /s
That's absolutely fantastic. I really love the talented community of Minecraft which allow such amazing things to be made. I hope Terraria gets official mod support soon as well; it'll be great to see what people can come up with.
UGC FTW!
I love God of War, but you're right. That's like saying all FPS's are copies of CoD, because apparently CoD was the first game that was an FPS.
