A true Halo game doesn't require Master Chief at all. Look at Reach - the game had no iconic characters, just some the numerous Spartans, and had a much better presentation of story than Halo 3 did, or 2. In fact, I was much more involved with the story in Reach and ODST than I was with the previous games.
I do believe that was sarcasm.
Lol, I'll agree with that, except I really like Halo. I hate CoD because of its terrible issues, but Halo is just quality entertainment for me. Personally, I look for more than fun in video games, but that's just because I think of games like art a bit more than I should. Still, if nothing else, DNF looks quite amusing.
Still, this is Public Relations we're talking about. Every single corporation lies or deceives people in some form in order to make money. No company should ever announce that they're going to blacklist people for giving a game a bad review, especially when it's not a magazine like EDGE just bashing things for the sake of hits. DNF was bound to be /fun/ but that just doesn't cut it these days.
You're forgetting that in Nintendo's case, one franchise = 50+ games.
-_-
Seriously? Perhaps you're so used to your generic linear shooters that you forgot the joy of using your on brain to do something in a video game?
That's true. The issue seems very patchable, though. It's good to see that the devs aren't holding back difficulty for people new to RTS's, though. This game's been on my radar since the trailer came out.
"I've played through too many games this gen that have held my hand the whole way through and only has 1 difficulty setting. Sometimes it's just not fun since there's no challenge to it."
I'm looking at you, Assassin's Creed!
"It's not an experience you can ease into. It’s a game that will beat your ass mercilessly until you completely lose the will to play it."
"Under Siege isn’t a bad game. It’s an RTS title with promise, but one that’s just too damn hard and unforgiving."
...didn't Demon's Souls get multiple GOTY awards for the same reason this game is getting low scores?
I agree. What's next? Muskets? Rockets? Apollo 11?
I hope AC stays true to its roots. I'm starting to hate the yearly releasing, too. It just makes each game feel way too much like the same as the previous.
Ha, you have a point there. At least they are almost always able to be trained.
It started with CoD 4, BTW. Also, I agree with Jack. Although I'm not "disturbed" by it, so to say, I find it going overboard to the point of another intentional controversy in order to get people interested. Dick move, IMO.
To be fair, a lot of dogs on the street could mean an uncontrolled amount of reproduction, causing more issues down the line. Not defending PETA, but just expressing my thoughts.
I just hated how in Brotherhood, I go for a nice stealth kill, but some guy using Templar Vision just picks me out of the crowd I'm in and kills me. I also hope they make the auto-walking in crowds less suspicious.
Hack the hacker's broadcast station for hacks?
Sounds awesome. Perhaps we can find a use for Anon after all...
Umm, no you don't.
Also, the graphics in inFamous aren't bad except during cutscenes. The lighting is pretty good though. I really recommend playing it, whether it looks dated or not.
*cough* Peter Molyneux *cough*
What's with all these anti-Halo comments? I'm a PS3 gamer, and I very deeply enjoy the Halo games. They're extremely fun when playing with friends and have an easy learning curve, while still allowing really good player to have an advantage.
So you're saying that a game is completely fine if it provides nostalgia and has SOME funny moments? Isn't that a bit sad? I don't agree with many reviews for many games, but saying that the game deserves a good score just because it's the same as a game you enjoyed about 18 years ago except with better graphics? That's implying complete degeneracy for the industry.
ROFL! A real game like DNF? You're either extremely messed up or trolling. I'm assuming both.
