If one is still denying 5 years later the *impact* of BOTW they are insane and have actively avoided/ignored any discussion of it.
No one pretends it invented anything so saying that, you just don't get it and by now never want to even try.
Nervous of everything! Sandwiched between Horizon and Elden Ring with GT7 right around the corner.
Airlink on the Quest 2 wasn't half bad. I tried Alyx, but that opened to a black screen (maybe related to installing SteamVR without rebooting, only tried two weeks ago and haven't since). After that failed Hellblade opened properly and over 15 minutes of playtime, there were only a few half-second blips.
All I did was bow to the boss on my second attempt (the first player just destroyed me, gosh I sucked. I didn't even get that far on the PS3 version).
He bowed as well and let me backstab him. It was fantastic!
You're a prick, Apocalypse.
Maybe it was just an impulse buy after a great demo, he doesn't deserve shade for how he didn't wind up playing the thing (especially if his entertainment center is already filled up and space isn't the most available - you don't know).
If you're not going to answer someone asking a genuine question, don't go out of your way to be an asshole.
I've got PSVR and Oculus Quest 2 and will upgrade as soon as I can get one. Neonridr hits my points exactly.
They haven't hinted to PSVR BC yet, I would hope they do as well because I've got Astrobot, it's just PSVR is so complicated to set up. My power outlets are all taken, it requires HDMI pass-through, two USB ports of the system (one for the set-top box, another for the camera), my Move controllers definitely don't have charge. When playing it pops ...
Me too and I agree - we're getting haptics in-headset that haven't been done before, Sony's finally moving beyond the PS3-era camera and Move controllers, and foveated rendering combined with the huge boost in resolution.
In the future I hope we'll be able to tether to a wall or portable power bank for power and be wireless to the system - put that PS5 WiFi 6 antenna to good use, or a Wireless dongle at the least. My entertainment center is about 5' to t...
What would the better game (or the scarier one) be between EW 1 and 2? I haven't tried the franchise before but have been curious.
Yesterday's video made this look very much like something Arkane would do. Lower enemy count, expressive first-person animations, quick "blink"-like short/medium distance traversal.
I think I understand a bit of where you're coming from. The animation of your character screaming after the spirit flies back into him is very very bad by itself, but the enemies move with this odd pacing.
It's like the enemies know your direction, but aren't moving *at* you, just the direction you're in. Hard to describe but they lack the subtle nuanced transitions we've seen in TLOU2 and other AAA modern releases.
The first person ha...
Xbox is trolled constantly for being just Gears, Halo, Forza, even still. Under him, after Mattrick, they gave Halo its longest dev cycle yet, Forza Motorsport given its longest cycle yet, Gears the same story now while they all focus on foundational tech improvements. Fable was sometimes thrown into that combo - rather than pushing out that MP spin-off they canceled it after several betas.
Things like that aren't decided easily. Rather than chasing the quick buck and f...
Nope, they haven't seen anything we haven't already. The only gameplay that exists is that one trailer so that headline is very deceiving
VRR is truly transformative the way it's implemented in Flight Simulator. It's 30fps locked without it. Enabled, even the Series S has places in the world that feel like they're soaring at 90fps+ (or when looking at the underside of your plane)
Just wait until you learn that all platform holders earn hefty royalties from third parties too, the horror of business and economics!
And 60fps at 1080p without RT, that is so disappointingly low res.
For XSX to go all the way up to 1944p and even the PS5's 1800p in Res Mode, you'd figure cutting back to 1440p/1260p would simply work for 60
Oh they'll pass PS4 sales this year. If they don't do it before BOTW2, that release will absolutely put them ahead. Any kind of price drop would guarantee it too.
The review suggests if you want zombies and parkour and lots to explore, "honestly, you'll love it."
Good way to show you skipped a click. Their expanded context from that is, that's all the game seems to have going for it.
I agree. My thoughts on Guardians of the Galaxy for example - I would recommend this game 10/10 to anyone that wants a solid well-told story and gameplay.
Critically though, my opinion went from a 9-9.5 to an 8-8.5 in the final hours. The game crashed a couple times in the latter third, a portion of the story felt too stretched out and I felt the ending could've been better. Things that do not change my opinion on recommending it, but do change my score if I had to scor...
