One bad thing shouldn't excuse another. OK, so she has inflammatory tweets, stop being triggered and look at the bigger picture. Does that and should that negate the fact she's not credited in the game that is built with her ideas, her writing, her work? When people are out there claiming credit for your uncredited work, reducing you to "someone" when the thing their taking credit for was your brainchild, yeah - you'd be salty and pissed off too.

... wuh, it is only called "PlayStation Plus" still. Just they've got the tier as a suffix. PS Plus Essential, Extra, Premium.

New is just the adjective they're using in the announcement to describe the significance of the changes to a tiered system... yikes, zac.

The quantity is quite high. For people not already invested in Game Pass there will be a lot of legacy titles for them to sink their teeth into. But I can't help but feel disappointed at this service at the prices they're offering.

USD - I'd have expected BC titles to be a middle ground at $12/month, then including modern titles at $15/month. They also haven't said if they're going to gatekeep those BC titles in the service, or allow individual purchases...

It's gotta be tough following Horizon and Elden Ring, and having the word of mouth be that it's just eh compared to those behemoths.

Kirby releasing as the charming open-world-ish title and Ghostwire being dreary in its visual tone doesn't help it either. Bad timing and while not "bad" scoring, the worst-reviewed of all four titles.

GTA V absolutely takes the cake there. Mario Kart 8 is the best-selling racer of all time, but GTA V more than triples MK8's unit sales and has recurring digital sales *and* that's before factoring in the current-gen relaunch and subscription service just announced last week.

Stadia had the curse of being a Google project, they shut down the first party before they could have any chance to prove themselves.

Cloud-built games *could* be well-implemented. What's the point of a local-running Fortnite-like title when it's 100% online 100% of the time, if the platforms it is brought to can have relatively guaranteed low end-to-end latency?

Today, tomorrow, and the next few years that's not the most reasonable. But in fi...

He's concerned about it going woke duh.

From the company that trolled trans people in Cyberpunk marketing, and also had naked-shiny-chiseled Geralt alone in hot tubs. He wants more of that.

CP2077 definitely change CDPR a lot, but this partnership is surely going to be mutually beneficial.

For all that UE4 did not have that RED did or that RED did better (like the tweet mentions), maybe this tech partnership will see CDPR's improvements/customizations merged into UE5 proper. We know enough about Unreal that one dev's version is not the same as another's.

The Coalition & Gears 5's UE4 especially cannot be compared to the v...

"At the same time the pricing of cars is an important element that conveys their value and rarity, so I do think it’s important for it to be linked with the real world prices."

Nothing like spending $70 on a video game to be reminded that even digital cars are too expensive for you.

"In GT7 I would like to have users enjoy lots of cars and races even without microtransactions."

Crazy to think he actually said this *b...

Exactly. I've seen areas full of giants, full of huge lobsters, dudes with statue helmets, a bridge of giant statues, minotaurs, spirit minotaurs, knights, spirit knights, copper-colored knights that have insane health, big bats, troll-looking bats, normal wolves, white wolves, giant wolves with bat bodies, a huge span of land with dragons everywhere, a really fat thing that rolls, cat-like statues, some angry lion-types, big crabs, little crabs, angry flowers, hanging giant skeleton thin...

@Storm - patches haven't improved performance yet, but while you will definitely notice the framerate isn't a solid 60fps, it's not unplayable at all.

(60 hours on PS5 only in Framerate Mode, the only game I've played in the last 2 weeks. I'm still amazed by how much fun I'm still having every day in it)

People acting like the Xbox UI is this messy outdated experience. Do people really not know that to view all of your games and apps, you only need to tap two buttons?

Here's a tutorial:
- Turn on the system
- Press down
- Press 'A'

Sorry the UI isn't a thin filmstrip of small icons with rounded corners that leads to incomplete, fragmented lists of content with nonsensically-placed filter actions, that makes you s...

The game has an unlocked framerate and they could've made better choices to keep it stable (checkerboard rendering, or dropping to 1440p), but outside of the PC version, what do you hear about bugs, glitches, crashes?

The High-End PC Visuals from 2015, yippee.

It's less than two weeks away and not a second of footage showing off whatever Ray Tracing they're implementing. As a positive, at least we're getting the three best graphics options (Fidelity, Performance, Performance RT).

You can play one mode offline, but there is no save ability for offline players so even that mode is essentially just a demo.

From GameSpot:

"Gran Turismo 7 features a great number of modes and experiences, and all but one of them, World Circuits, is made unavailable if you play GT7 without an internet connection"

They were honest about this a while ago, but the reason "to prevent cheating" is such a joke for a racin...

On top of this, when it displays your balance after you gain more credits, the UI has a "Top up on PlayStation Store" action. Every time.

Sony has to consider this to be one of their 10 GaaS titles; between the always-online requirement, 17GB Day One Patch, predatory credit pricing, and inability to disable those prompts, GT7 is not something we've seen from any of their recent games...
