Quality of Life: Agree with you on this. I spent the last 45 minutes on my PS5 not playing a game. The system needed an update, I didn't have enough storage to install Ratchet. I moved 100GB of PS4 games to my external - you have to sit in the UI while it moves. One game always fails to move but there's no valuable info or an error code. I wasn't expecting any kind of demo for Hellblade II this year but we got it. If there's any surprise release, I'd put a bet on that.
Part of me hopes for Halo Infinite Campaign DLC, a small ODST chapter or "Fracture" similar to how we got Gears 5: Hivebusters out of nowhere just a year after that main campaign released.

Agreed. Sony released their main stuff by/before summer. Microsoft released summer or later, it was a pretty balanced year between them. MS Studios had two games go to PS (one exclusive), Sony released PS4 Director's Cuts.

I get where you're coming from. I see it similarly - Ratchet (same situation as Deathloop in not playing yet) is my favorite looking game just on how it looks in stills and the videos I've seen; I know it'll exceed those when I finally get to it since Insomniac earned that pedigree.
Halo doesn't have as great a raw "look", but it does so much in being 4K, 60fps, open world, with real-time GI *and* is capable of going up to 120fps with great source...
I'd say that Halo looks better than Village, especially given its real-time lighting and the detail in the materials. Deathloop (from videos, haven't started playing yet) looks like it suffered from Halo 2020's flat lighting.
I wonder too about upgrades for the PC base-game owners, that has to be something they'll allow. Anything could happen I guess but it would be the weirdest thing to have a worse looking/running definitive edition, unless Intel somehow steals the show on a v1 AI upscaler
