It's jarring in some games where the reflections totally don't match the scene. Or all the car windows have the same reflection texture.
Terrible but specific example - Rainbow Six 3 on OG Xbox, I think Airport 2 was the MP map. You're around a hangar. The cars in the map reflect the same non-existent mountain. Ubisoft games in general still kinda suffer from this
If Microsoft wants people to invest in new hardware there should be new experiences that take advantage of that hardware Day 1 from them.
That's what Halo Infinite was to be - their shining example of a game built for Series X then scaled down.
But it looked worse than Halo 5 on One X, at 12TF. With pop-in present, using their fast SSD. No RT at launch, despite telling us it's XSX-first.
What we're getting - games upscaled f...
Short term the PS5 will enjoy an even bigger lead than it would have.
Long term... well, waiting 5 years for Halo only to see it become the laughing stock of the industry is long term enough.
16GB @ 3200. It's only a problem at 4K resolution and DX12 mode. DX11 doesn't have the issue
No one knows what it means, not even the PrEsIdEnT. Some people suggest it will only really be WeChat-related but... we'll see I guess.
If you or anyone with a 2070 Super has a 4K monitor - does this game suddenly stop loading high-res textures after a few minutes, and will only load them when going in-and-out of settings?
It really isn't a pretty looker without RTX and this issue happens only with DX12 mode, DLSS on and everything.
This game was very poor-selling.
The people who did spend $60 and bought the $20-$30 DLC pack - the most loyal fans - won't get the same bonus as people who waited a year and spent have as much *for literally the same exact content* with zero way to upgrade.
To top it all off, as an RTX owner, we got the game for free last fall with our graphics cards.
It's consumer fuckery
And the best thing, with GP at least - if you so desire, you can buy that game at a 20% discount.
Imagine buying *any* third-party multiplatform game the day it comes out. Do any stay at MSRP after even just two weeks out, aside from RDR2 and COD?
PS4 Remote Play works anywhere. They work on *a* local network - it doesn't say they have to be on the *same* network. It means you can't have cellular access.
Xbox Remote Play could be the same thing if they separate it from the XCloud app. In the Android beta app it was a separate tab in the launch UI.
Or include things actually running on an Xbox
@DarXyde The complaints stem from the bad graphics and the signs of development-hell. They're saying the right things about the campaign direction, but when it demoed looking the way it did, it seems no where close to being ready
Is that the most questionable part of an accessory that replaces the official dock - a hard-plastic container that an easily-scratched plastic screen slides down without any protection?
I've been working on something for this entire year that's actually a lot similar to this. Agreements were signed, it's known in the industry I'm in, but until we have a clear launch date, we're not formally publicizing it.
It's still the Decima Engine... If they weren't ready to support the PC they should've delayed it until it was as polished as DS.
There isn't a good reason for DLSS 2.0 not being included in this, sorry people. As the owners of the engine, it's their prerogative to be the best demonstrators of what the engine is capable of.
That press release mentions nothing of when they started. "Is collaborating" not "will" or "started".
C'mon anyone with a sense of business. You see the article of them being involved from a year back. Do you think then that Treyarch only just started helping Raven with Call of Duty? That was announced yesterday, after rumors of it in 2019 too
Hopefully Apple will come around. It sucks that Sony is still being defended for being the final holdout in cross-play too... Imagine if Apple was so stingy that even Fortnite players wouldn't have been allowed to play with Android users
The beta test was a joke on iOS. One game, and no console remote play, because of Apple's restrictions even during the darn TestFlight period.
These companies should group together and challenge Apple's specific policies publicly.
PS5 definitely at launch.
XSX by or before Halo Infinite - depends on launch price really. If Series S can play older games in at least One X mode quality then maybe that instead.
