I like the sympathy in these comments. It's like we treat people as people all of a sudden?
Because these are *not* at all the reactions we got to the same articles about the same kind of threats being directed toward Naughty Dog and the TLOU2 team.
*Looks at Spider-Man's change to even-whiter Peter Parker in game that glorifies the police in absolutely tone-deaf ways disconnected from reality*
*Looks at TLOU2's diverse lineup of play...
The 360 was, in input and power, an extension from OG Xbox. The PS3 was an HD PS2 with a gyroscope in the controller.
The XBOne offered an input that computationally was more advanced than a controller - your body. The PS4 offered a bigger map button and a stupidly bright light.
The PS4 went on to have some of the best games ever. We don't need wild ideas - we want good games, and regardless of input, devs are smart enough to master what they're g...
You've got to be one huuuge fool to have to buy a Req Pack
Super Mario Odyssey had all the content in the world, I'm played out on that kind of Mario.
I'd love a new 2D Mario or a smaller, focused 3D World sequel
"All they are doing is giving you something they have already done."
Well then, since this work is obviously going toward Spider-Man 2 how about Sony decide to sell that at $60 instead of $70? Since ya know, that work is already being done.
"If you don't want that, you just play your copy of Spider-Man from PS4 with the improved textures and visuals that PS5 offers for every PS4 game. "
That is false information....
This is Sony's most successful first-party title ever. The Witcher 3 is five years old and gets a free next-gen upgrade. Spider-Man is only two. I put 40 hours into getting Platinum, it's absurd that in 2020 we're pulled so easily distracted by Sony's deceptive marketing.
A save file could be transferrable, but they didn't want to put in the effort. This could be a free upgrade, but they want it to be platform-exclusive DLC for its spinoff.

This is such a fast-paced game, who [of the few that think this title is actually worth $70] will actually notice resolution drops? We see the drawbacks needed to hit that in the few titles that don't have DRS *looks at Halo*.
This is weird. How can Spider-Man: Miles Morales support cross-gen saving from PS4 to PS5 but this can't?
Insomniac specified "We'll share details closer to launch" about it, so... maybe Sony just doesn't have an easy, automatic process for this? What does this mean for meaty, long-AF titles like Valhalla and Cyberpunk?
Edit: Can't resist this - maybe Control will have a new Ultra Edition with next-gen support *and* cross-save
60fps modes in all this, SM:MM, and Ratchet disable RT effects
Textures - Medium to High
LoD - Medium to High
Character Detail - High to Ultra
HairFX - Off to On
Reflections - Screen Space to RT
Shadows - Medium to High
"Remaster"
Y'all are very forgiving on something that's basically the difference of any PC game going from a lower to a higher setting.
(The change in Parker's model is like the weirder Lara Croft change from TR 2013 to its 20...
@Rude
If you're going to tag me, respond to what I actually said instead of furthering your irrelevant tangents.
The point you are trying to make is irrelevant and dismissive of the merit of BC.
Also... "Locking hardware" Sony *literally* influenced AMD's architecture by requiring compatibility modes to target PS4 and PS4 Pro.
Sony hasn't talked about anything with the UI or OS yet. We know from the other platform that it's the same OS and UI, and Smart Delivery handling cross-gen compatibility.
Sony also said (as mentioned above) that PS4 Miles Morales' saves will transfer to PS5, so their dismissal of cross-gen (despite embracing it last-minute) is proving to be quite the conundrum...
The precedent if something like this goes in her favor would be dangerous - imagine having to not just worry about background music in any videos you post to YouTube or wherever, but also if someone can see your tattoo.
But, if labels and musicians can control their music in that way, why can't graphic artists have any say about their work?

It only started on Android out of beta last week. The best I can find for PC is that it's officially in-home network only but there are ways to make it accessible over the internet through router changes, through the Xbox Companion App (never knew about this feature)
*Looks awkwardly at every-handheld-ever with screens smaller than the average phone*
No, Xbox Remote Play only started on Android during the Game Streaming beta earlier in the year.
But OP is still jaded - this has nothing to do with Apple's policies or Sony or even xCloud. Though he seems to fully endorse Apple's discrimination of gaming services when they don't apply those same restrictive policies onto other streaming platforms (Netflix, Hulu, etc)
The PS5 SOC has compatibility modes to replicate the PS4 Pro and original PS4. Sony hasn't indicated what can/will happen with PS4 games that are not patched to be "PS5 compatible" (of which rumors say both TLOU2 and GoT already are, plus all games published after July or something are supposedly required).
The most they've officially said about BC is that 99% will be playable and that some are enhanced. But that may not necessarily mean all will be exploi...
Well, I read the speed wrong (Sony gives two figures - I was comparing the 7000 to their compressed figure)
But still I won't back down on the price part of it. The lack of availability of these ultra-fast SSDs (whichever few do exist and make it to the approved list) alone will keep those prices high. And as more become available, prices will fall and MS can match.
I always thought I should get DLC when I buy gum. This is weirder cross-promotion than what Disney does with Star Wars
