Whatever the resolution, Coalition's branch of Unreal Engine is quite amazing in how it smoothly scale resolution with no drop in framerate.
I've no doubt you'll get 1440p looking up at the empty sky, but yeah... it'd be foolish expecting max native resolution on any system at 120fps.
If Guerrilla Games can bring the open-world Horizon Forbidden West to PS4, I'm sure Insomniac would find a way to get a launch-window platformer to run on the thing too.
It was very openly transparent that Spider-Man was never built from the ground up for PS5. The base game is the benchmark for the SSD loading speeds; MM being PS5-only seemed odd in that sense, so I'm not surprised with that one.
Horizon Forbidden West, though... It would be silly for us to think after that flip that GoW2 won't be cross-gen too, especially with franchise history. The original GoW2 launched on PS2 after the PS3 was out for 3 months.
Horizon is really coming to PS4 too? Oh that's classic. Clearly gonna be held back now, Crailoy here we come!
(Cross-gen hate was always stupid. If being cross-gen holds a game back, it's the developer's talent, not the hardware)
Flight Simulator is less a game and totally a simulation platform intended to last a decade if not more.
They are clear in their messaging now about BC.
They were also clear about 4K game upscaling too for the system. But this system can't even run an original Xbox game in 4K. That's just awful for a brand new generation in 2020
Microsoft wants us to buy a next-gen console that's going to provide an inferior experience compared to the previous generation?
I really need a new profile picture, this right here is pathetic.
He's not the one saying that a low-cost device meant for casuals with 1080p TVs is going to physically contaminate the earth...
Series* S
... wow, when I wrote I didn't know it would be misinterpreted this bad.
... The difference between One X and Series S *for backwards compatible games*.
Very curious to see them explain the difference between One X and Series S. If a game can run in 4K on One X but not Series S for example, like Gears 5 maybe, if the system won't output in it?
But hey, to enter next-gen this is an amazing price point. Costs the same as a Switch!
I'd bet Wind Waker HD, Trilight Princess HD, maybe an Ocarina/Majora double-pack. Skyward Sword would be a nice surprise.
Soo it's exactly an 8.0-8.5 because it's got optional content making it a "collectathon"?
You know you don't have to play through 100% of it, right? I did because it all was fun as heck. I'd give it a 9.77 actually. The 100 score on the volleyball was so cheap that's 0.23 right there alone
Can you explain what being an 8.5 means?
You put the disc in, it downloads the update
I mean in the sense of holiday sales amid the next-gen launches and all that
Nintendo did this same thing a decade ago for the Wii Super Mario Allstars re-release. It was a limited run, then they opened it up for a second limited run some time later.
It's even more lame that they're doing it now. I guess this fake limit is to push up hardware sales because there's nothing else coming this year from them...
Digital Foundry has videos and analyses of games with DLSS 2.0 where visual quality is actually exceeding native - Death Stranding and Wolfenstein Youngblood specifically.
In other words, this card will hit 4K120fps in virtually every released and upcoming game we know of.
Except OG Crysis
Only a child is really going to care about obsessing over the definition of "exclusive"
PS4/5 have the best first party exclusives in their ecosystem (can't say PS5 exclusive anymore after HFW flipping)
Xbox Series X has the more powerful hardware, with titles also available on PC and support for 20+ years of Xbox games that are enhanced from their original versions.
"It's also on PC" good grief stop whining and get ov...
