This would actually be a GREAT musical. Great characters, rather easy settings/props. I would pay to see this done professionally to be completely honest. Can't wait to see this :D
Gaming-only consoles? Yes, they are a dying breed. Media-focused consoles? Those are definitely on the up-and-up. Microsoft really changed the game with the Xbox 360's integration with a number of MS/Windows applications. Sony, for their part, have also done a decent job at bringing media to the living room.
Really though, we can thank Netflix, Amazon (Prime), and Hulu (Plus) (and a host of other apps/channels) for daily usage of our consoles. I have my PS3 on almost ever...
As an RPG fan, this is the first game that has made me wish I didn't have to worry about battles and leveling characters up. I would be just as happy to build my social links and watch the story unfold.
I completely agree, and will add further that the issue isn't "does the current generation have another year left", but rather, "will developers continue to support the current generation".
We'll still get the occasional 1st-party releases, but the key will be EA, Activision, Ubisoft, etc. supporting these consoles for the next few years...
So many conflicting reviews for the PS Vita version. Some claim it's a terrible port and closer to the 3DS version, while others claim it's just a bit worse than the PS3/360 versions...I just want a straight answer without wasting my money first.
I don't care if Persona 4: The Golden was originally released on the PS2, the PS Vita version is infinitely better, portable, and ultimately one of the best games released this year, hands down.
I forgot to continue my initial post, but I wanted to mention that PCs are completely different from consoles. on a PC, 4GB of RAM is being shared between the OS/programs and the game, etc. On a console 4GB of RAM is going solely to the game (hopefully Sony and MS give the OS it's own memory to run off of). That's a HUGE difference. That's 4,096 MB that the developers can (potentially) use, compared to about 480 MB on the current systems (PS3 and 360).
And as I po...
The cost of RAM will most likely prevent this from happening. If anything, we'll be lucky to get 8GB, and I fully expect Sony and MS to announce their new consoles have 4GB.
The thing to remember is these new consoles will likely have dedicated OS RAM, and then RAM that can be used for games. Personally, 4GB seems like more than enough if it's ONLY being used for the game/textures. We're still going to need at least a 12X Blu-ray drive to try and fill those 4GB up...
I read the article and I didn't see any mention of his wife leaving him or him losing custody of his kids. I mean, there's an entire paragraph where he does nothing but praise his wife for being the anchor, to keep him focused.
Am I missing something? I mean, if his marriage is in trouble because this risk doesn't pay off, then shame on them for not being able to make it through good times and bad.
Regarding the game itself, it looks interesting, ...
This would be absolutely the worst thing Nintendo could do, no only to the fans, but to themselves. It would all but guarantee developers drop support for either the Wii U or the Wii U 2 as you called this sequel.
Nintendo has made their bed, so to speak, and must live with the consequences. By launching a year early, they have given themselves that much more time to develop their next gaming box, but I don't see a release happening until at least 2016/2017, not for a tru...
I honestly saw nothing wrong with that scene. It plays into the story, and it's two demons, of course it won't be pretty. I can bet you $XXX (see what I did there :P) that if this was "prettier", that is, with a "hot chick" and some "stud", people would be fine with it...
I don't have many PS3 games. I tend to play them and then trade/sell. Obviously I'm going to wait for full details on what the PS4 will feature, but I suspect we'll get BC either via hardware or software.
And don't forget, Sony bought Gaikai earlier this year and I can see them offering PS3 games via cloud. I imagine it as follows; I launch Gaikai (or whatever Sony calls it eventually) and the app/program then checks to see if I have the PS3 game in my drive (...
I'm patiently waiting for PS4 news, but I have every intention of trading my PS3 in towards a PS4.
If I go to Newegg right now, you cna get the following:
AMD A10-5700 Trinity 3.4GHz 65W Quad-Core Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 and AMD Radeon HD 7660D for $127
LG Electronics Blu-ray Disc Combo Internal SATA 12X Lightscribe with 3D Play Back for $50
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 for $42.
So far the total is $219. Obviously we still need a Power Supply (~$30) and Motherboard (~50?, depends on arrangem...
The PS4 NEEDS to launch the same year the 360 launches, simple as that. More importantly, the price needs to be reasonable. $399 would be an ideal max, but we'll see where Sony comes in at.
Bottom-line, all signs point to the next Xbox coming out in 2013, and that is what Sony should be aiming for as well. Even if we don't "need" these new consoles, the industry has clearly spoken out on the matter and are not hiding the facts that they are working on next-g...
Hopefully the next patch fixes the current online issues. Otherwise, the single-player is excellent.
If the publishers know what is good for them, next-gen game prices will NOT increase. The difference between this gen and next gen will not be large enough to justify increasing prices. If anything, the games will be *easier* to create next-gen due to Sony and MS trying to simplify the process (Sony especially...compared to the PS3).
So I still predict $59.99 for regular editions of games.
Seems quite fitting...ending where it all began.
3.8, really? I guess I shouldn't expect any less from IGN. I mean, after that Ragnarok Odyssey review where the guy fully admitted he didn't even finish the game...yet gave it a 5? And now this, from an "IGN freelancer".
Glad I removed IGN from my bookmarks. I couldn't care less about this game, but their reviews of late have been disgusting.
For the record, I've read through the article three times now and still see no evidence that this is a joke or something. The author freaking mentions Doctor Who as a violent video game...WTF?
I hate the media and these so-called "journalists".
There are so many glaring issues with this...I don't even know where to begin. How about the fact that the article constantly refers to "kids" and "children" who are playing these ...
