I'm wasting a bubble just for this:

I hear all this talk about "Omni" and honestly...I'm kind of liking it the more I hear it. Same can be said with the PS Vita. When I first heard that, I thought to myself "man, that's lame". But the more I heard it the more it grew on me. Now, I can't even imagine Sony possibly having called this thing the PSP2.

So yes, I think now is a great time for Sony to drop the numbering system and give this new PlayStation a proper name. Fans can still ...

While I'm not a fan of Activision, I firmly believe in supporting GOOD games. If this turns out to be good, I'll be buying it. Not ALL (though most does) of the money goes to the publisher...

5 years. Simply AMAZING post-release support. Can't wait to see what they do next :D

If this came to the Vita...I would probably play it daily. But we use our PS3 for Netflix/Crunchyroll/Amazon Prime, so I tend to game later in the evening/weekends so as not to take up the TV. A portable version would be perfect.

It's about $10 too much, but once it goes on sale I expect this to sell quite well. It's an improvement over the original game and being portable makes it that much better :D

Your argument is invalid as soon as you said $60. That would never happen (without a heavy subsidization). The fact remains that if upgrades were offered, developers would have to either 1) spend more money to support the new tech/upgrade AND the base tech for those who haven't upgraded, or 2) pick one over the other, thus people will be losing out.

No upgrades = developers make a game EVERYONE can enjoy (if they have that console).

@AAACE5 - If your disc drive fails within the first year, get it replaced under warranty. If it is outside of the warranty period, buy the replacement part off of eBay and replace it yourself for a fraction of the cost.

As far as graphics, if you want an update for graphics in "like five years", then wait for the next generation to come out, OR whatever the future of the gaming industry does. What you're describing is exactly what PCs are for ;)

4876d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

I honestly hope not. The whole point of a gaming console is you buy it once, and that's it. The developers have one set of hardware to work with, and the consumer doesn't have to worry about upgrading. If they do, then we all might as well buy PCs.

That's exactly why the MOVE, while selling well enough, isn't huge, simply because it was a post-release accessory that developers didn't have to develop for. If Sony wants their new MOVE 2.0/Eyetoy 2.0 to be su...

Grow the hell up. We don't even know anything about the new ME game aside from the fact that Shepard won't be in it. The first 3 games were stellar, why potentially ruin the legacy of the series with potentially inferior future games? Shepard wasn't a superhero. He was human (ish, don't want to give away too much for those who haven't played all of the games).

With a universe so vast, I see no reason to keep dragging on with Shepard and the gang. They had ...

This is a good decision. Shepard was a great character, had an amazing run over the course of three games, and ultimately was the hero we wanted him to be. It's time to move on and experience more of the Mass Effect universe with new characters and races.

Now, as for my want list...I would like to be able to purchase "miners" or whatever you want to potentially call them. Essentially I want to purchase units that will go to planets and explore/mine automatically...

Personally, I liked the idea/rumor floating around that says the PS4 will have an optional PS3 "dongle" for BC. That said, i don't really see that happening, but for Sony's sake, I think a BC PS4 for a slightly higher price ($50-75 max...) and then a regularly-priced PS4 would be OK.

Not ideal mind you, but OK. It would give people who want BC the option, and those that don't want it don't have to pay extra.

That all said, I could to...

I prefer written. I like the anonymity of written reviews from a visual aspect. Plus, I'm not being distracted by some "hot blonde" or anything else, I'm just reading the review.

Honestly, none of them really. If I had to pick I would say combine the first and second ones in the article. That said, I'm hoping Sony makes the controller *slightly* larger overall and makes it a more ergonomic. I actually like the idea of a small touchpad on the controller depending on how it's used. For now, just give my concave analog sticks that are a bit tighter and some proper triggers...

Rumors are that Sony will REQUIRE 1080p @ 60fps (and 3D) for PS4 games. That would require developers to make sure they meet those requirements before being released. I fully support this type of requirement so that developers immediately know what they must produce as a minimum. I have a 1080p HDTV at home, I want my games to at least support this resolution properly, none of this upscale BS.

The simple fact is that this current generation has seen numerous games running at or BELOW 720p @ 30fps. While it may not be as large of a leap graphically, I am still eagerly awaiting the next generation and solid 1080p @ 60fps. The different will be noticeable and welcomed.

What I'm REALLY looking forward to are the improved physics. The current hardware can already do 1080p at "roughly" 30fps. I believe WipeOut runs at 1080p on the PS3. So if we can get game...

I honestly expect Sony to "wow" us when they reveal the PS4 (or whatever it will be called) and show the interactivity with the Vita. I feel like Sony has some tricks up their sleeve that they can't quite pull off with the current PS3, but are ready and waiting for next-gen.

Can't wait :D

If we're lucky we'll get it...but most of the time we don't. *sigh*

Something Sony should consider is announcing the next PlayStation (PS4?) early Spring, showing it off with playable demos at E3, and then releasing it in August or September. That gives them first out of the gate + an option for holiday bundles a couple months after release just as initial launch hype is starting to die down.

The announcement at Destination PlayStation gives retailers and industry folk official notice of what is coming (in some form, not all details will be r...

Honestly, I would prefer GTA V on the Vita just like the console versions will get, but with cross-play/cross-saves AND possibly some Vita specific content. How awesome would it be to play some GTA V during the day, and then pick up where you left off later on your console (PS3 obviously).

If not that, then something very similar to AC3 and AC3: Liberation.
