Waiting for this to hit the Vita (hopefully sooner rather than later). I feel a game like this would be perfect for the Vita/handheld. Hopefully they can fix some of the cons with the game in a patch or two.
Why did it have to be Monday??? Why couldn't it have been tonight. At least I'll have something to look forward to after work on Monday :D
But is that REALLY the PS4 underneath or is it just some object giving the impression of something rectangular?
Ditto on the PS4 front. I already have a PS3 (started this generation with a 360 but went through 3 of those...)
Microsoft is showing me NOTHING that I want in a gaming console. Hwoever, I will concede that the sharing of games with up to 10 family and/or friends sounds interesting. Almost too good to be true.
24 hour check-in = pass. And used games still sound sketchy. Can I buy a used game at GameStop and go home and play it in my X1 without paying more money?
Seriously, this is ridiculous. I just want to play games. Fuck this TV shit, that's what my cable box is for.
EDIT: "Trade-in and resell your disc-based games: Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable y...
Sutherland is actually a great choice. Voice-wise, he has a distinct voice that will breathe a bit of new life into Snake.
I'll miss Hayter since that's what I've known for so long, but I feel Sutherland is possibly the best choice to fill the role (for whatever reason...)
EDIT: for all of the Hayter fans, deal with it. Yes, him not being the voice sucks, but don't discredit Sutherland so quickly.
It works on the PS Vita as well. I JUST downloaded the game on my Vita via the PSN store (on the Vita). I can confirm it works on the Vita and looks amazing on that 5" OLED screen :D It's just a shame I have to work today.
Really hoping they release this on the PS Vita sooner rather than later.
Game releases on Tuesday (June 4th), hoping I get my digital code before then. Cannot wait to play this.
$10-15 indie games are a majority of my purchases. $60 titles are hardly ever on my list for multiple reasons:
1) That $60 price tag almost ALWAYS drops to $39.99 within a month of release.
2) DLC ($10/15 each) is almost always released within a month of the game releasing...no thanks, that shit should have been on the disc.
3) AAA titles are notorious for being bug-ridden for the first few months. What should I waste my money on that?
Let them chase "blockbuster games", Sony clearly demonstrated in February (and have reinforced their stance since then) their desire to attract and help indie developers. This is a GREAT thing for the industry.
So yeah, let Microsoft chase AAA games, many of them will be multiplatform anyway.
If Sony DOESN'T include the new PS camera, then they've wasted all that money developing it and the DS4 controller integration. Developers are going to be far less-likely to develop for those features if they are unsure of how many people even bought the accessory.
Sony eating some of the cost and including it is a MUST and will pay off in the end with [hopefully] unique content and gameplay.
I love how the Bungie guy doesn't even specifically answer the question about the Xbox One, but rather, the "next gen" in general :P I guess if you don't have anything nice to say...
Origins was an excellent game, especially on Vita. The colors were amazing and it was some of the bets platforming in years.
lulz. I'm fairly certain it's a coincidence, but funny none-the-less.
No amount of bad press, especially this bad so far, is worth it to sandbag...IMO.
@PLASTICA-MAN - since we're dealing with rumors, I heard the max speed for the PS4 CPU is 2.0GHz, but that Sony was considering 1.8GHz as the stock speed. It's not a huge increase, but 200MHz x8 can do quite a bit.
Which is smart if true. Let gamers hate on the publisher for making this decision, not Sony/Developers. MS essentially touted that they are going to block used games...not the smartest thing they did during the reveal day.
I hope for the sake of myself and others who will be picking up the PS4, that's the case. I'm simply saying the actual difference at home on our screens may not be as substantial as I see it on paper. But I'm not denying the fact that the PS4 clearly has the performance edge in this race.
I'm not disputing that the PS4 is more powerful. I'm simply questioning if 3rd party developers will go that extra mile to fully utilize the PS4's extra GPU performan...
All I want is SOCOM 2 in HD, on the PS3/PS4/PS Vita...
