Yeah, I too thought they were running on a single GTX 580...

@bakedgoods
Yea I've heard of that, but at that point the fault lies on the GPU manufacturer such as Nvidia AMD/ATI, not on the game.

I dont think you will be able to run it... maybe on low settings?

the only difference between the the 2600 and 2600k is that the latter is unlocked. This means that you would be able to overclock the hell out of it. You can't overclock your cpu well, but its still a beast of a cpu and is more than enough. I would say dont go through the trouble of swapping them.

@k3x

Sooo if many people liked it and a lot of them said it was actually quicker to get into a game it's still bad according to you because it's "different"? Great logic -_-

Yes certain people will praise anything regardless of the quality (*cough* cod *cough*), but this hasn't been tried before, at least not in a Battlefield game so chill out and judge it after you've tried it.

all the alpha testers said they actually liked the new system.

....don't forget about what happens if ubisofts servers go down like they did with assassins creed

5269d ago 9 agree0 disagreeView comment

There will always be servers with no one playing in them. You can basically do what ever u want in those i suppose.

I think they said a while ago that it would :)

to be fair though, valve doesn't release any of their games on any other dl service. EA is basically taking a page outta valve's book and people are shunning them for it and praising steam. I love steam as much as the next guy but I'm open to other platforms. That said, I'm sure valve simply wants a piece of that bf3 sales pie, as well as the other ea games. Still, newell has a point, EA would benefit more by having their games release on steam too.

@kee
yes that was the co-op reveal, but that last bit was part of the multiplayer seeing as how he killed another player and not an enemy AI.

...and anyone who has played a cod game knows that's a killstreak reward not a challenge.

@Voxelman

I think the main flaw in your reasoning is that you do not take into consideration how much consoles will have evolved by the time tablets and smartphone become hardcore gaming platforms. You mention how much faster and better looking these mobile platforms are getting, but fail to realize that consoles will also get better. This new tech for phones and tablets are going to put pressure on the handheld market, but that's about it. There is no way a small device ...

Yea I noticed this when i tried playing MW2 the other day too. A grenade landed near me and i tried to dive out of the room but i just went prone on top the grenade instead lol oops.
I think the reason it felt natural was because it kind of took momentum into consideration. Without it you could be sprinting your ass off and instantly stop when u go prone. Not realistic.

I bought a mid range gaming laptop a couple years ago and all I can say is it was the dumbest purchase I've ever made. Just get a regular cheap laptop and a beast of a desktop for the same price.

@chadachada

that's probably the best analogy explaining why the used video game market and used car market should not be compared.

If you buy your games new, these online passes should not bother you.

You want a cookie or something? Lol please stop acting like you're special by generalizing that people who enjoy video games don't also enjoy sports, get women, or have a job, especially on a site like this... it just shows your immaturity.

On topic, I loved the first Borderlands. More populated towns is all it needed.

Play co-op with other people and the enemies become exponentially harder.

@brutallyhonest

That version of the 590 costs more because it has a liquid cooled copper heatsink. The regular version with passive cooling does cost $750. So technically your wrong about the fastest card costing $900 since the same card, albeit different model, costs much less.

Something tells me he hasn't played it at all or hasn't played it enough to really understand the points he was trying to get across. Like Caffo01 stated, you can only talk to your 3 other squad mates. yet this guy claims you can talk amongst all 64 players.

And maybe he simply stinks at shooting games, he shouldn't blame the guns for being too realistic.
