Definitely one if the best games this year. Considering Bathesda's previous games, i'm very happy at how bug free it is too.
considering the points he was making, he didn't have to play it. The game IS 6gb and graphically, on PC, it's nothing mind blowing. He's also right about the same console hud and UI being used in the PC version, it's very tedious to use. Plus, in his title it says "Opinion" so it's just his point of view, which, in the end, turned out to be pretty valid.
The game is great, no doubt about that, but like every game, it has some flaws.
Graphics are ok, nothing too special...yet. At the moment, the crappy UI is my only complaint. It's like the devs forgot we have a mouse at our disposal. Other than that, the game has me hooked!
@RedDragon
illegal downloads do not equal a lost sale. Most of these people would not have bought the game anyways.
Lmao u "have" that rig yet you would rather play at 720p? Lamest troll attempt of the day.
Well if you read the article you would see he makes valid points.
Developing for PC and porting to consoles is the best route to ensure every version of the game is as good as it can be. It just takes that extra bit of effort. Bathesda is relying on modders to do the work for them which is a shame.
Right let's just forget that pirated copies do not equal lost sales and that the 360 has it's fair share of pirates.
@tachyon_nova
But in BF3 if u get killed by a camper or sniper the maps are so big that u can easily flank them or blow the building they're hiding in.
Black ops ran like crap compared to cod4 and mw2. Try playing it on a dual core and u will get <30fps. a quick look on any forum shows that this problem affects a lot of people and has yet to be patched.
How is it cut content if they are currently still working on the dlc?
NONE of the PC digital download sales are counted which I would argue make up 90% of PC sales nowadays.
that happens when u divide the screen 4 times and the video is low res, you cant see all the details. everything looks the same in those small rectangles.
@theoneyouhate
$320 gets you a gtx 570 which is an awesome card and can run this game on ultra settings at 45fps average.
Also, I'm assuming most people here have an existing PC that's less than 5 years old to which they can simply add the $320 graphics card and a $50 power supply. Boom, ultra graphics on BF3.
Also no, it would not be outdated in a few months. Statements like that make it hard to believe that you built gaming PC's for so ...
Well they do wear goggles
I like it.
With all that rain, dust and dirt flying around in all the maps it only makes sense. Makes everything look more realistic imo.
This game is seriously breathtaking. The graphics (on high/ultra for me) and sound/music on a 5.1 surround sound setup have raised the bar high my friends.
Just because they haven't announced all the dlc like they have for cod, it doesn't mean they aren't planning on it. Everyone knows the cod "formula" so it makes little sense for them to hide anything. Most other developers don't/can't do that.
@jobesy
You're right the article isn't about cod, but it mentions it a lot and draws direct comparisons to battlefield. So bringing up cod's launch woes is appropriate in this case.
Spared no expense.
