After buying a couple games and using origin, there is nothing bad about it. It isn't as great and full-fledged like steam but once the games are loaded up u can simply forget about it. People are making a big deal over nothing.
Remember kids, people hated steam when it was introduced too and now we love it.

A gtx 580 dedicated for physX? Definitely overkill right there. I don't think bf3 even supports physx...
Probably at really high resolutions. hopefully at 1920x1080 a single 580 is all that's needed to max it. Guess we'll find out in a week.
I would be surprised if it didn't support sli. I'm sure you'll be able to max it.
I have a gtx570 and I think we'll be able to run the game at high settings, but not ultra... A gtx 580 would probably be needed for that.

I got battlefield 2 about a month ago when they were selling it for $5. Not too shabby...
Exactly, digital sales on pc r never counted. Which is a big deal since the majority of pc sales are digital and not retail boxed copies.

I'm sorry but no, pc has way more exclusives than consoles. Console games simply have more marketing whereas a lot of pc games don't.

Bad company 2 did not have a failed launch. It didn't come close to mw2 in sales but it still sold a couple million which isn't bad at all.
if you compare both games' servers to date, bad company has way more players still playing (at least on pc), which I think is a better determinate of which game is better.

Only people who complain about online passes are those too cheap to pay $5-$10 more to get a new copy over the used copy.
as far as what footage has been shown, all the videos of cod games have been run on 360. You say EA is trying to keep console footage of bf3 hidden yet activation hasn't shown pc footage of mw3. Oh boy they must be hiding it >_>

Yes it's up Dice to deliver an optimized game but that means nothing if you have crappy drivers.
I don't mind using origin and don't feel like I got shafted. I pity you since a program running in the background will deter you from playing bf3 the way it was meant to be played .
Good on nvidia for backing up the game, they always come through with good driver support.
