The witcher 2 is a good looking game but I was underwhelmed by it, particularly the stiff facial animations and models. Oh and its not a PC exclusive as its coming out for 360 too.
These screen shots may be from cutscenes or they may be in game, hard to tell at the moment, but to say its impossible is also foolish.
The limited edition costs the same as standard edition people. If u preorder it, u get the dlc for free. If not, u pay later. If u buy it at certain stores u get bonuses. This is not new and this will not "kill" bf3. Don't get ur panties in a bunch, is all I can say.
One thing I dont like is how the right stick is above the face buttons. After trying to mimic with my own hands how that would feel, I have to say it feels awkward and uncomfortable... but who knows, it may just be the fact that all major controllers with analog sticks have had the face buttons above them and I'm used to it.
They used a few seconds of ps3 footage in one of the trailers. The reason its significant is because no one noticed until later. Everyone assumed it was all PC footage. I'm assuming that is what he is referring to in that quote..
@yo mama
Barely anyone online huh? Then who r all the people filling the servers when I played bad company 2 yesterday on pc? When I play against my ps3 friends I have no problem getting into populated servers either.
the lighting in the smoke from the rockets at :55 just blows my mind... and its only one second long!
40% that of that video was swimming, 40% was on-rails shooting with fancy set-pieces happening around you, and 20% was u actually controlling the character and shooting at people (with extreme amounts of auto aim). Definitely not my idea of fun, but if that's what floats your boat...
I cannot wait for bf3, but I still think mw3 will win as far sales are concerned. I've pointed out the problems with the cod franchise to some of my friends and they simply don't care, which is sad.
"cheaper than any comparable service"
Didn't know they could go lower than 'free'.
@Statix
The difference is that MMOs are continuously updated with new content and quests. What can they add to cod that that would keep the aforementioned model AND not step on DLC packs' toes?
As for xbox live, well, I'm not gonna comment on that since I don't use it.
@Movements
what makes you think the console version will be more impressive?
If you played Bad Company 2 you would see that it makes it so much better. Nothing like blowing a camper out of a second story building with a well placed rpg... and ensuring he wont go there again :)
Amazing. Definitely a step in the right direction.
@cleanhealthy
take a look at battlefield bad company 2. I expect the console version of BF3 to look like that but slightly better and bigger, which is at least 2x better looking than this game.
@Reibooi
Ah I was not aware of that. Kinda disconcerting to think of another dev working on a Halo game but that's just me :/
I doubt it will be halo 4 since bungie is working on their multiplat game that they have yet to announce.
I'm sure they have the capacity to handle a good game... What they lack is the motivation, need, or desire to try since people will buy it regardless of the quality :/
Maybe you're right, but there is no doubt that a beta like cod4 would find a big chunk of bugs and exploits. Its better than nothing imo.
@raven
that is exactly what public betas are for...
@snakefist
U don't need a $500 card to max those games out. A $300 (current price of a ps3) card will allow u to max most games at 1080p for about 2 years and allow u to run games at medium/high settings (which still looks much better than consoles) for another year or 2 after that. Honestly, PC gaming isn't as expensive as people make it out to be. Sure, a few people like to splurge on their PC's but they don't represent everyone.
