I agree potential bias is a major issue, and the article leaves a lot to be desired by not referencing its sources.
But it's an interesting read whether you agree with it or not, *looks at CViper* and last time I checked agreeing with an article was not the requirement for approving it.
Awesome ideas about the evolving of NG. I can only hope Itagaki betrays his own words and makes a definitive NG III that evolves platforming/adventure in the genre as much as he has the combat.

I just finished reading the review and almost two pages of three is devoted to complaining about the difficulty and Itagaki being a sadistic bastard. The first game was my favourite Xbox title by far and the game is a definite purchase for me. I never expected this game to reach for 10's but I really thought it was a 9/10 game. I certainly consider NG to be a tier higher than DMC and yet the scores do not reflect this. It's the most important title to be reviewed since GTAIV changed the scoring benchmark for all next gen games, so it'll be interesting to see how much of the score is a reflection on the game itself and how much is a result ...
Those two in particular are incredibly unique in the design world and we as gamers are richer for having them. Even if you don't play their games you will no doubt play games that are inspired or influenced by them.

I'm sorry it doesn't prove anything. Perhaps you need to work on your geography and realise Switzerland is about as small a country you'll find anywhere in the world.
Total sales in Europe of the two consoles combined was approximately 1,560,000 in Q1 2008. Switzerland combined sales as shown above were approximately 24,000.
In other words Switzerland accounted for about 1.5% of Europe's total sales which is on the verge of statistical insignificance.
