I hear you when talking about LEs, because in general they're a waste of time and money. But the Madden one looks something special as it includes the full retail game Head Coach 09, on top of all those other extras.
The article whilst written with an Australian perspective actually concerns all PAL regions. That includes UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
So in terms of principles, surely the size of the PAL market, and the importance that EA Sports has placed on it in recent times, meets your key principle of money.
Although I'm a massive Civ fan so that'll have me covered. GTA for May, NGII for June, Civ for July and then Madden, Mercs and Too Human in August! lol
Anything on top of that (Alone in the Dark, Battlefield, GRID, SR2) is icing on a sweet cake ... and a deeper hole in my wallet! :)
Just wanted to add that the release dates are taken from IGN and that whilst many titles listed above are multiplatform, if multiplayer is involved I always lean to the superior, although expensive, Xbox Live version.
Now I've only listed those titles which I believe will be above Metacritic ratings of 7.5 based on hands on and critical previews. But it illustrates that whilst I know I'll buy FF, MGS, GTR and LittleBigPlanet on my PS3, I'm faced with deja vu from last year in regards to the 360 having such an abundance of quality titles that I'll struggle to choose amongst them.

- GTAIV (first week)
- Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
- Supreme Commander (not convinced y...
Each time I see more of it, the voice command and the MMO-like multiplayer, I'm further convinced that this is a sleeping giant.
I think Halo Wars and World in Conflict, with new control schemes and a focus away from resource management and more on pure tactics will make great strides in getting more acceptance for strategy on consoles as well. And don't forget Civilization Revolution which could see turn based strategy become a more mainstream multiplayer genre on consoles.
I wouldn't have a problem if these blatant hit count headlines went both ways. I mean where's,
"M$ throws kitchen sink at Sony. Sony gets wet!",
"Microsoft screws R* for money and Sony for spite... with exclusive DLC"
"Sony screws GTA gamers all the way Home... where?"
"PS3 gamers wait for GTA install, 360 gamers have already committed one hundred felonies"
"Sony's PS3 GTAIV Bundle = Xbox360+GTAIV+DLC+XboxLiveGo...
I submitted the second version some five hours before this submission.
In my case it was an honest mistake as nothing showed up as a duplicate when going through publishing and I only became aware of it after I was further surprised to find my article had failed approval without a single report against it! How mine was failed without any reports against the submission is still a mystery.
Given the two rejections of duplicate submissions, how the hell this was approve...
Apologies for posting a previously failed submission.
It's an interesting read with an original story angle... but where was Fallout 3 in the Washington DC example?
The first map map was fun (if not uneven). This, however, has brought me back to appreciate Halo for it's flexibility in gametypes, customisation and that beautiful thing called Forge!
I love COD4, but it's killed every other shooter save Gears and Halo 3, which thankfully still offer something different.
The map pack is even more of a must buy thanks to the free Bungie Pro account that's included.
Seriously to accuse Capcom of any inherent racism is utterly ridiculous and worse than that irresponsible on behalf of those making the fuss.
Whilst I would agree that the imagery could be construed to have similarities with old time racist media, I could say the same about a banana and my bits (no its not yellow! lol). People, particularly journalists such as N'Gai should be much more careful when assessing supposed racism in art, and make sure they do not impose their own misco...
I don't know what this article is going on about! If you do a quick search across gaming sites, or check the Aussie Xbox "General Discussion" forums and its "Big, Fat, RPG List" thread, there's 24 RPGs for the 360 in 2008. 18 of which are exclusives. The PS3 by my count has at least 9 RPGs this year, with six from the list that aren't platform exclusive, plus FF, and a few others that escape my mind at the moment.
That makes 33 titles for 2008 and they're only...
This just looks unbelievable... I think another review put it best.
"This game will replace my WoW, period."
Cops and Crooks seems to have a bunch of tactical gameplay I never expected.
Hangman's Noose looks like some crazy co-op madness.
And Helicopter Races!!!!
I want that Mega Man suit!
*runs off to Dead Rising* :)
Good to see an article setting things straight about the legitimacy of a source/author. I'm still laughing at the "hackers made me plagarise" excuse!
The members who approved this should be ashamed of themselves. This is the worst example of fanboy bait I've ever seen! And a spectacular way to ensure real news does not get read. Well done. :P
Whoops! :O
This is a great article but this post is a duplicate!
Original post was published 19hrs earlier under the article's original heading. It can be found under a Far Cry 2 search on N4G.
Well I'm one of those lucky buggers with a copy and there's no optional install on the 360. No HDD install exists. It goes straight into the intro and tutorial like start. I looked through the options menu and nothing, not a thing.
I wonder how much of the other supposed leaks and rumours turn out to be BS!
Graphics are nice but not outstanding. It's the level of detail, weather effects and in particular the animation that'll blow everyone away - the ragdoll effects ...
