The analyst who made these, in my opinion ridiculous, predictions has an accuracy rating on past predictions of just 25%, and in the case of sales predictions 0%. To put that into perspective the well known but often derided analyst Michael Pachter is right 60% of the time.

What the hell were Free Radical and Ubisoft thinking?
I just hope this got the bad ideas out of their system and Timesplitters makes a triumphant return to form.
Apparently Kojima never learnt shorthand! :/
Can't wait. :)
But gamers will!
I think it's an awesome move to say that if your game has been out for six months, hasn't got a sell-through rate (demo to fullversion)greater than six percent and yields a metacritic rating of under 65%... YOU'RE OUT!
There's a lot of good stuff on Live, but it reminds me of going through the PS2 bargain bins at EB. There's plenty of gold but so much dirt around it!
I like the move as it will make developers more accountable for the qua...
It sold 3million on a last gen system compared to Killzone's 1million and this gen's Resistance's 3million.
Resistance 2 should've been up there, but like it or not Fable 2 is a big game and will do 5+million.
Regardless the biggest first party titles this year will be Gears 2 and Resistance 2 for their respective systems.
MGS4 is a third party title and is therefore not "a big one" from Sony.
Although it's very odd that they didn't mention Resistance 2, I assume it's because of the lack of official footage, but they should've still mentioned it.
And Reality, look at your name and swallow it! :)
LBP look awesome. But I have no idea how they think they'll truly keep all the 8inch sackboys from being online.
Hey mate are we talking full version games of a similar size to a Viva Pinata or Scene It, or are these arcade size games like Wii Play and Wii Sports that you've been working on?
I ask because Shane Kim has hinted repeatedly that the casual friendly games may be sold at a lower standard price than those of full retail titles.
EDIT:
Cheers tintin, I'm running short of bubbles as always but lookin forward to seeing your work that is so perfectly formed (N...
Yeah I don't think Microsoft can sustain this rumour mongering beyond E3 so the more that leaks the louder the calls will be for information at E3.
If... and people I said IF!... if done right this could change the console game completely and put the 360 right in the middle of the casual hungry Wii market. And don't say it's impossible... it may be improbable but not impossible... because that's what everyone said about the Wii before it started selling like hotcakes and Nintendo...
Yep, I'm sure they will be - and how ironic that it'll be Nintendo's old bunk buddies Rare copying their innovation for the competition! lol
Maybe this is a viral marketing campaign by Microsoft?
Either way, if this all turns out to be correct, Rare will have had one hell of a busy year by Christmas! Banjo, Viva Pinata, Mii channel and I assume some motion controlled games - Shane Kim has mentioned in his copious interviews recently that he wants more Microsoft Game Studio sports titles, but last time I checked there weren't any! Hmmmmmmm.... :/
EDIT:
Couple of "inspired" ideas... &...
What so he can set up another account? lol
I'm actually really keen on Banjo and love the design. All the previews have mentioned how beautiful it looks and the vast potential of its user-created platforming. I do think a lot of people are just not getting this title at the moment (to me it's Spore meets Mario Galaxy), which means an extensive demo closer to release will be vital.
I sure I'll cop disagrees but why PS3 players are concerned about this games appearance I have no idea? Go play MGS4 cause it looks much prett...
Yeah bubbles for you Kingslayer.
Be a gamer not a hater is a nice mantra.
And Lost Odyssey was the most enjoyable JRPG I've played this year.
I actually feel Molyneux has been pretty well behaved compared to Fable 1, or maybe MS have just got him on a tighter leash this time round.
Either way, I loved the first one and the second fun looks like even more fun. Beautiful art direction and design.
I agree. It's amazing what happens in the comments section when the fanboys (of all colours) steer clear. :)
That's an agree right there. Bioware have said they intend to do another Jade Empire but nothing's officially announced. Jade Empire 2 would be a killer exclusive for 08/09 if Microsoft could secure it.
"Sony's 20% ownership of Square Enix..."
Sony currently hold, as of the end of last financial year, 8.6% of Square Enix stock, compared to Enix founder and honorary chairman Yasuhiro Fukushima 21.3%, and his private company's additional 8.8%, giving him over 30% of the company. Square founder Masafumi Miyamoto owns approximately 7.1%, whilst the remaining 54%+ majority is controlled largely by American and Japanese financial institutions.
In other words, So...
Awesome explanation mate. It's exactly how small indie film distributors, most notably Miramax, came to such prominence... and ironically their fall (sale to Disney) came when they started trying to be a studio and invested in the risky business of development instead of focusing on the far less capital intensive business of distribution, licensing and marketing.
Campaign length sounds much better, but the multiple endings and stamina bar have got me very interested. The stamina bar could soften the "balls to the wall" frenzy of the original's multiplayer, but then again it might just give it a bit more tactical weight to the gameplay.
As for multiplayer, En-Garde sounds like ridiculous fun and the first to 100 mode sounds epic. More importantly if that's 100 hundred human player kills in the "Ordeal" mode that lends w...
