I'll speculate and say that he did ask those questions, but like any good journalist he'll let the details bleed out over the coming week to boost web hits.
Just look at the Shane Kim media avalanche we've had recently, each site got one interview at MS' showcase but yet most managed to get two weeks worth of articles out of him.
And in the case that he didn't try to ask those questions... well I'm sure the editor will suggest he should start looking for a job elsewh...
Cheers mate. I'm glad somebody got it! lol :)
EDIT: @ps360fella
You're exactly right that that would make no sense!
Perhaps you should read what I wrote more carefully. :)
A real darkhorse in the RPG lineup for 360 this year.
If anybody is offended by the word "gay" they should look in a mirror and realise it's a reflection on themselves.
@Double3
Agreed mate, why would you put your real name as a GT?
It adds to the previous story by clearly illustrating that there were development issues with Killzone 2's delay and it was not as the PR simply because of a crowded lineup that they would like us all to believe.
Yeah I'll most likely buy all the 1st party titles that have been confirmed - Ninja Gaiden 2, Gears of War 2, Fable 2 are definities and I'm very interested in Banjo Kazooie 3 and Too Human. I'll need some more convincing that Viva Pinata 2 adds enough to the original to warrant a purchase.
And if Crimson Skies 2 was announced, it'd instantly have my attention as the first was ridiculous fun.
I'm guessing a lot of the resources are being pumped into the end of year releases, along with the mysterious Halo: Chronicles (just look at the recruitment drive!), Alan Wake, Halo: Wars, Scene It 2, Ninja Blade and whatever they're up to with the "Newton" motion controls.
If they find time I'd love to see a new Kung Fu Chaos as the original was a great party title that the 360 desperately needs. Mech Warrior and Brute Force are nice properties but I don't know what yo...
I really enjoy the game when it works but the lobby system and the habit of being kicked back to single player can be very frustrating!
I was also in the beta on 360. And whilst COD4 is without doubt FPS at its finest, Bad Company brings a swathe of new features to the table which greatly differentiate it from the competition including:
* expansive destruction which truly does change the way an FPS plays, particularly in terms of cover.
* vehicles like tanks, jeeps, choppers, artillery, etc.
* a very tongue in cheek single player campaign very much like "Three Kings".
* a heavily team...
I get the idea that EDGE doesn't like any sandbox games stepping on GTA's hallowed turf, but to be honest this game looks like a lot of fun (so long as the bugs are ironed out).
The magazine plays down the innovations such as the GPS of the first Saints Row calling them "little" and yet praises Rockstar's copycat GPS system on the same website! Further there's no mention of Saints Row 2's groundbreaking elements in the sandbox genre, in particular the fully playable co-...
I'm Australian and I prefer games from the UK (and Europe). :/
The title is simply there to grab fan boy attention and takes Kim out of context.
If you read the interview it is actually very interesting, balanced and includes some pretty funny moments including the suggestion that Microsoft payed for Rare's LSD addiction whilst making Viva Pinata... of course Kim doesn't get the joke!
I'm really looking forward to this. The original Gears was something I grew to appreciate over countless multiplayer hours and it's heartening to see how much emphasis Epic are placing on gamer feedback.
If the game is longer, more varied and really does have a good story, it could be something special.

That's Gold! :)
I completely agree mate. My above post was solely in response to Fishy Finger's misinformed post earlier.
If the case arises where Square Enix goes multiplatform (I stress the word IF), Sony would be likely to pursue a timed exclusive and if successful would get essentially the same benefit of a full flung exclusive.
Wired writes:
Kim says you can't really call it until "somebody's well on their way to reaching 100 million units."
"This is only the third year of our existence and only the second year of Sony and Nintendo's existence. Are we just amusing ourselves by trying to declare a winner and loser while the customers are still out there deciding?" he says.
EDIT: And later he states
"Will (Nintendo) get to expand beyond 35, 4...
Yeah always wondered about that one?!
I'd probably ask him something really left field and totally unrelated with a heavy influence of restaurant wine like "Are you Robert Kiyosaki's twin? Does that make you the rich kid or the poor kid?"
It's always been about fast, responsive and fluid gameplay. If you think the story will be any better than the first maybe you should watch the GDC gameplay footage "you ungrateful monkeys"! :P
I do find that if you drink some beers prior to NG you'll find the story far more entertaining and may well consider it a brilliant satire of every action game/movie cliche before it. Funny that!
When asked to describe Gears 2 in one word, Cliffy responded "Shenanigans!"
Congrats to Cliffy B who has somehow got this word into the gaming lexicon. And bubbles for wildarms. :)
Personally I hope they keep a lid on the hype because I really want to enjoy the "badass shenanigans" when they eventually arrive.
The article is an interesting read although I firmly disagree with their analyst's numbers of 40million 360's, 107million Wii's & 107million PS3's by 2012. I just can't see the console market getting to a 250million+ size. Plus if we factor another years sales based on Sony's own predictions to factor in the 360's head start, the 360 & PS3 are tied at around 20million consoles each whilst the Wii hangs out at 25million.
In terms of price cuts the Wii has the most to lose ...
