They are a small developer, from what i heard porting to 360 is easy. Porting to PS3 would require too many resources hence may not be a feasible option.

Completely agree, there hardly is a difference between the sports game releases, asides the roaster update.

People will prefer to stick to the last game instead of dishing out 60usd (40 if PC version). Best way to make the jump is discontinueing online support.

Naa rather they are being shutdown so PPL move on to the next multiplayer game.

If the game is good, people do carry on playing it. Watch how people were still playing halo 2 yet they were forced out of it.

Well PC gamers are used to that sort of treatment. I still play warcraft 3, there are atleast 100,000 of us online at peak times even though the game is nearly a decade old by now.

CS is still going very strong.

Console gamers should demand support for their games. Most of the time they dont even receive dedicated servers while they end up paying more on every game.

I am currently traveling cant wait to get back to try that mod on my PC ;-)

I would agree, i personally only game on PC. Aside the few great exclusives like Uncharted and RDR i personally dont hold much interest in most of the console exclusives.

Its pretty good, but you wouldnt wanna use a control pad on a PC for FPS u will get slaughtered.

Dont see what the problem is, was a piece of cake getting it to work.

Agreed man, Dragon age Origins was my goty 2009. I didnt bother with DA2. Specially i am a PC gamer, DA2 was much too consolized for my taste (doesnt even offer complete camera control). ID pick up the ultimate addition if it was 15-20usd.

Good thing i didnt buy the game on the last Steam discount. ill wait for the ultimate addition at the end of the year lol.

You dont need a GTX 580 to play BF3 unless you are thinking of playing on 3 screens or so.

True getting the same games on console would cost a fortune.

Hardware is pointless without the software (wise versa).

If a console costs cheap but then rips off on the software then you need to take into account the entire package.

PC hardware maybe few hundered usd more expensive initially however in the long run due to much cheaper software PC easily wins.

@liquidhalos

Why compare state of the art tech against half a decade old tech then complain about pricing.

Everyone knows most games dont use more then a dual core CPU, plus any 50GBP gpu can outperform consoles. So again why are you comparing a 400GBP gpu against ancient tech, its not like consoles can perform on simular levels, you should compare it to hardware which performs simularly, which in this case would be a 50GBP gpu.

Also yo...

I think Steam and the rest of the digital network has really brought PC gaming back into the limelight.

Not only are PC versions of games cheaper at launch. They are also 2x as profitable as selling a retail copy. Hence a PC game selling 1 million is as profitable as a console game selling 2million.

Lastly PC game prices fall quickly too. For instance a new game like Duke nukem was on discount on Steam for 24usd, you wont get that price on console. Add in the...

IMO DLC started of as a to make gamers think they are getting a good deal.

It started of by taking advantage of the already going on console war. MS offered DLC for GTA 4 to Xbox gamers. PS3 and PC gamers were left out. Xbox gamers thinking they are getting a good deal bought into this.

MS basically has carried forward the same thing into COD. where Xbox gamers get DLC first.

Most other developers actually rip content out of games to make som...

so far only the 360 version has been confirmed.

Dont need to spend 1200usd on a PC to run 3D. 600-700usd will be more then enough.

Graphics technology in the last few years has progressed so fast while games simply havent scaled. which is why cheap midrange(150-200usd) gpus of today can handle 3d 1080p very easily.

Also dont forget PC version of every game bought is cheaper, which more then makes PC the cheapest platform to game on. Games go on Steam or D2D discount very soon after launch after which it ca...

Any one serious about 3D should be looking to build a gaming PC. 1080p 3D, 60fps with AA its all there, with over 500 titles currently playable in 3D, PC is easily the system to get for those interested in 3D.

@kon

Obviously console sales didnt meet expectation which is why the game is going PC. Hopefully rockstar have learned a lesson with this.
