The only place an SSD would come in handly is when loading a game. Current HDDs are already fast enough for that purpose(i mean the 3.5inch 10krpm drives not the 2.5inch 5.4k drives found in consoles). No need to waste so much $$ on a SSD.
SSDs come in handly when you actually have a OS to run. Consoles dont have much OS. Which is why this is unncessary.
Most of us PC gamers use SSDs as an OS drive, its mostly a waste when it comes to loading games. Since...
Been a PC gamer after the Snes days, never looked back to Consoles. Picked up a PS2 back in the day due to GT3 however that was the only game that really i liked on the system again was back on the PC.
Console gaming just has become too expensive this gen, game prices are rediculous. Steam and D2D ftw.
Its not like i am short of funds or anything, infact i am very well of, however i dont see a reason to be spending 60usd per game, when i could be getting 90% ...
Lol dont think any PC gamer really cares about Driver. They can keep their game :)
Personally all Ubi have been doing this gen is constantly rehashing Assassinscreed, anythign else they have done has bombed in their face. This should be no different.
@showtime
Both the DS3 and Xbox 360controller work with the PC. Xbox 360 controller has native support just plug in and play.
To run the DS3 you need motionjoy. Infact running motionjoy you can even remap the DS3 buttons for any particular game anyway you want. Ever played games on the PS3, where you wished that the mapping on the controller were different, but you cant do anything about it. On PC you can actually adjust buttons to work any way you want regar...

Check this out, then tell me if consoles have anything like this:

True while PC doesnt have the year on year rehashes that consoles do get(corridor shooter exclusives basically), its because devs no PC gamers have higher standards and wont keep buying rehashes. Its easier to satisfy console gamers with such stuff.
Played the PC version with hi res mods, the game looked very good. Hope the sequel is as good as the original. Devs these days just have a habbit of catering for the masses.
This is getting quite rediculous. Arite powerofcell why do you think Sony doesnt unlock all of the PS3s power at once? Why give it off in small bits?
Altair even if someone were to buy a 1000usd PC, the PC is much cheaper then console in the long run. This is because games are much cheaper on PC. Console gaming is expensive.
Just 1 steam discount is enough to make a 1000USD PC cheaper then console.
Why would it be, PS3 and Xbox 360 are very old. Would be a shame if the Wii U version wouldnt out perform them significantly.
High res texture mods say hi.
Well first tell us where are you staying, usually if you are in the US or Europe getting these parts is very easy, specially making one yourself can be very cheap.
PM me ill help ya out on a build.
Well lets not forget PC version will also be getting mod support, which will make the game look even better.
Even if console version has mod support, consoles are already maxed out when it comes to the graphics department, hence i wouldnt expect to see hi res texture mods for consoles. Imo PC versions just gonna look better as time goes on.
Its just not about the graphics though, PC version also will be running at a smooth 60fps.

@breadisgood
Thats only the initial 10-20usd difference. The major difference occurs when a new game sells on PC for 10-15usd(check Steam or D2D discounts) after 2-3 months of release while the console version is still at 40-50usd.
Well yea on the console market its MS vs Sony, both of which would never like to compromise their margins.
Its PSN VS XBL, a third party cant think of getting on board the digital market on consoles.
On PC we already have Steam, D2D, Games for windows, GoG, gamers gate. Origins joined lately.
Hence with so much competition on PC prices are bound to go down.
As of april 2011 they sold 400,000 copies at Steam and 200,000 copies on XBL. Thats alot of sales for a indie dev. I wouldnt say they have only 4 fans based on those figures.
Sure they may be butt hurt over MS not giving them the sort of exposure Valve did. However as a developer they would like to atleast maintain good relationship for further releases. It sure as hell takes balls to critic kinect and then expect MS to support them on their next game.
I agree Sony is no better though. PC FTW :P
Its cool they actually have the balls to come out and make such a statement. Usually you would see the AAA devs cocksucking Sony or MS. No one would dare say a word against the any of those 2.
"That's a lot of money for entertainment, so I think the good news is that in certain markets - PC, iPhone, mobile - we can see prices coming down.
I agree with this quote. Its mostly Console gaming that is expensive, prices of games generally dont come down and even when they do it usually is by a small amount. Now with online passes being introduced even the second hand market will take a hit.
PC gaming on the other hand due to services like Steam ...
"*Upgradable Graphics Tech "
you can keep dreaming and disagree, its not gonna happen. The console base of users is too small to allow such a thing.
The reason why it happens on PC is because the base is in millions and its not like only PC gamers buy upgradable parts. The entire world needs Ram, CPUs, GPUs, Motherboards etc.
With console, the console maker will have to make console specific parts. Problem with that is it will...
