Fully agree. Unfortunately most of the people on this site are subscribed to blind fanboyism. Its most specifically Sony fanboys, say anything against their system they will blindly disagree.
They dont even see how Sony is screwing them over, ah well they probably will end up buying remakes for PS3 version of games on PS4, nvm the PS2 remakes that will be ready for another round of milking. Yet they will think Sony is doing them a favor.
@neutralgamer
You dont really need a top of the line PC to emulate a PS2 game. A fast dual core from 2006 is more then enough.
I agree not many have a I7 2600k, its an overkill for games.
Its using assets from the PC version, so it cant be better then the PC version. I am sure the PC version may even have mods, which will turn things into the PC's favor.
Lol you better hope steamworks isnt there, unless you would like to go up against mouse keyboard users, which really will be very unfavorable.
It does : steam achievements, DS3 works on PC too :P infact you can even configure the buttons for games that do not have the option ingame.
Hence on PS3 if you dont like the button layout you are stuck on PC its configurable.
Lol its just not 2011 pc that are superior. No one has the money to upgrade every year. Many of the pc gamers here have rigs from 2007. Yet those will be playing this game near max anyways.
PC gamers generally dont care about the collecters edition. Console gamers pay a premium for the game and end up getting a better looking covering for the game and maybe some additional skins(which we end up getting for free due to mods lol), while PC gamers pay less for the game but end up getting the better looking version of the game.
Ill probably end up paying 10-20usd for this 2-3 months after launch.
Pc version is also cheaper, will remain backward compatible for years to come and can probably be picked up between 10-20usd 2-3months after launch(thanks to Steam & D2D discounts). Console version will probably remain expensive just like the rest of the console games.

No problem with that its gonna be a great game and people should enjoy it on whatever platform they can.
@grayfox
Its just not GTA4 that you can enjoy with mods. Also there are countless other games which are PC exclusive.
While consoles have exclusives too, i have to point out most of them are rehashes.
Check this PC exclusive out, then tell me if there is anything like this on console:

@gray-fox
PC port of GTA 4 had some bugs initially, what games released these days doesnt(even on console)?
Problem was most people tried to play it at max settings and then complained their rigs couldnt handle it. There were certain settings in the game which were overkill like taking the drawdistance above 22, it was unnecessary but killed performance. People would try to max such stuff out then complain.
However most of the problems ...
It wasnt even HD on the consoles. If consoles had the Juice it surely would have atleast come in HD. Infact the PS3 version looks so blurry and the draw distance is severly lacking on both console versions.
PS2's GTA also is available on PC and currently runs in 1080p with mods simular to this.
Hence its the PC version again which is superior. If you were to run PS2 version even on PS3 it will still run in SUB HD below 480p or so. PC version on the other hand can be run at whatever res you like with what ever mods you prefer.
@datruth
Except you have to rebuy MGS 3 on PS3 to make it look better. Anyone who bought GTA 4 in 2008 doesnt have to rebuy it in 2011 to make it look better, they just need to apply the mod.
While in afew years time you may get more mods to make GTA4 look even better, MGS3 remake will be stagnant.
You dont even know if the PS4 will have the BC to play MGS3 or any of the HD remakes you buy today.
6950 is awesome, it really is a 6970 its just been downclocked by AMD. Its awesome value for money.
I would strongly recommend you dont get an AMD system. AMD tech is very old (for cpus).
Go for an intel I5 2500k instead. The motherboard will cost you the same. Just the CPU will be 120usd more expensive however it will make the AMD CPU look last last gen.
Also a CPU like the I5 2500k has very long legs, you can keep it at stock speeds for now. Later on in 3-4 years if you ever intend on upgrading your GPU, you can basically get a free CPU upgrade by ove...

As of Feb 2011 Sonys games division stands at a loss of 4.7 billion usd.
http://www.vg247.com/2009/1...
As all of us are aware launching a new console means making more losses. PS3 already isnt profitable, no making a new machine to make more losses. It looks to me like they wont be making it too expensive like t...
haha cant be on console :P then it wouldnt be dota 2. They would have to significantly dumb it down or allow mouse keybaord on console.
Whatever i am just glad we are getting this.
Dota 2 will be beyond epic, cant wait for it gonna play this game for a decade atleast.
Last year PC was EA's most profitable platform even ahead of the Xbox 360.
Digital distribution is proving to be very profitable. Hence EA is trying to force PC gamers onboard their platform. Personally i dont trust EA.
eh true, getting the PC version.
