@breakpad - Well, you're entitled to your opinion but, imo, the Infamous franchise is fantastic. It has a great comic book superhero feel to it.
@n4rc - Agree - Best Buy is clearing stock. New TV models and X1 Bundles will be available soon.
@Garethvk - "It is never wise in business to let your competition have a showcase event where you are not available to respond." So, using your logic, MS should not skip the Paris and Tokyo game shows.
@Rookie_Monster "Why are you once again bringing in the PS4 and Sony to an xbox only article." Because the article quotes Spencer commending Sony's first party efforts that's why. Spencer: "But I’ll point out too that Sony has some great first-party franchises. I’m a big fan of Uncharted."
I had the original PS3 with the PS2 chip built in - true, native BC. For the first year, due to the lack of new PS3 titles and the fact that my PS2 died, I mostly played PS2 games on my PS3. It was a great feature because I could play every PS2 game I had on it and it helped with the transition from one generation to the next. So, to answer the question, yes I would care but I would've cared a lot more had BC been native, played all my PS3 games and been available day one.
@Oto100 Why should Sony worry? The PS4 hasn't had a price cut yet and it's still easily outselling the X1 worldwide. That said, the Xbox brand has some great games coming out in 2015/2016.
@AutoCad "yet dont have a problem with sony not beig there at all" - Umm, Sony are there. They just didn't have a press conference.
@Apocalypse - This article is posted on playstationenthusiast.com It is most definitely not Microsoft fanboy propaganda. Did you read the article? The author more or less comes to the conclusion that the absence of a Sony press conference will not harm PS4 sales.
Just because they're not having an official press conference doesn't mean that they can't make some noteworthy news. For example, maybe we'll get some official release dates for games like No Man's Sky and more info about games for Morpheus. Sure a conference would get them more press but, I don't think it's needed.
I'd add Blast Corps to that list. It has a good variety of game play and great replay value (getting the platinum medals for each level is not easy.)
My favorite Rare games in order of preference are: Blast Corps; Diddy Kong Racing; Jet Force Gemini and the Banjo Kazooie games. Given Rare's past history, Sea of Thieves has a lot of great games to best so, I am pretty skeptical about Tsunoda's claim. That said, too bad I can't afford to buy an X1 right now because I really want to play that Rare Replay collection.
Well said - whatever NX turns out to be, it shouldn't be a stop gap console. Nintendo should bow down to 3rd parties and produce a console that provides a significant spec boost over the X1 and PS4 - it should also be easy for 3rd parties to develop for. Gamers will pay $350-$400 for a console that gives them better performance, allows them to play all the best 3rd party games and 1st party Nintendo games.
I believe that MS and SE were passionate about making a good business deal - whether or not that turns out to be the case remains to be seen. What I didn't appreciate was the fact that MS, with Phil Spencer leading the way, tried to imply that ROTTR would be a X1, X360 console exclusive much like Ryse and Dead Rising and would not be coming to Playstation: "Now, obviously if I'm going to partner on it, I'm a platform holder, I'm hardly going to invest to go make the PlayS...
@theFro - recent issues with PSN have also been fixed within a couple of hours or, as you stated, asap. Generally, the issues with PSN are limited as they do not affect all PSN gamers. Sony, imo, is getting a lot better at quickly addressing issues with PSN. I know that both XBL and PSN have issues with their services at least a few times a month but so do most internet service providers. These issues annoy me but they generally are fixed within the hour. Imo, people who expect flawless servi...
@thecowsaysmoo Lol. Great list of games but this article isn't about the X1. But I think you know that.
BC will be a great feature if it eventually allows people to play most of the X360 catalog - I'm a little skeptical about that happening. BC alone, imo, is not going to make the X1 the "go to console." I realized that this article was pure fan boy drivel when the author used MS PR BS to support his argument - "Well it has certainly been paying off. The Xbox One outsold the PS4 during the week of E3 and Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, believes this is in no small part thanks to ...
@FreshRevenge Not sure why SE and CD have to apologize for making a business deal. In hindsight, it may prove not to be the best deal they could've made for the TR franchise but, it's not like you won't ever be able to play the game on PC and PS4. SE and CD are not obliged to you or any other non-xbox platform owners to allow you access to the game before their business deal with MS expires. You are of course are entitled to express your displeasure with their decisions by not buy...
There will be plenty of games to play on the PS4 before ROTTR releases. The most obsessed of gamers (the type who don't have a job, play 16 hrs a day, have a super PC, X1, PS4 and Wii U) can't play every game they think is a "must play" the day it releases. If ROTTR turns out to be a good game, I'll happily look forward to playing it next year. For those of you complaining that a year is a long time, all I can say is that time must move very slowly for you which, btw, i...
Hmm - yes PSN needs improvement but the stability of the network, from my experience, is getting better. That said, this article was submitted by Nosred who has a known bias. Enough said!
@drpepperdude - I played Infamous SS 4 times - good karma, bad karma on normal difficulty and good karma and bad karma on hard difficulty. So, imo, it was good bang for my buck with lots of replay value. The game was shorter than its predecessors but still, for me, a good value. Driveclub gameplay has vastly improved since release. Have you played it recently? I didn't play the Last Of Us on PS3, so the remastered PS4 version with the DLC was a great deal for me.
