The game is getting an 84 on Metacritic based on 30 + reviews. IGN - 9; EGM - 8.5; Game Informer 8.5; Eurogamer 8.0 to name a few. At least 5 reviewers scored lower than Gamespot. From my experience, Gamespot tends to score between .50 to 1.0 point lower than similar sites. 7.0 is a "Good" score for them. Their reviewer's main criticisms were that the game was quote - "The bad - Easy, short and shallow." Apparently the game takes less than 15 hours to complete and that...

Yeah - a common mantra of theirs is, "wait til the Xbox One gets tiled resources, Titanfall! and the cloud!" As if MS had a monopoly on tiled resources and the cloud.

In my opinion, MS's big mistake with the Xbox One was to not focus on being a video game console. The media hub kitchen sink approach means that they are not just competing against Nintendo and Sony for gamers but that they're also competing against, Roku, Apple Tv, cable companies and last generation consoles (to name a few) for entertainment space in your living room. An Xbox that focused on games and gamers first with a console that could compete with the PS4 performance wise and...

They don't usually happen within 3 months of launch unless the product is not holding its own against the competition.

Where can you find it cheaper online? Just checked Amazon and Ebay and can't get it for less than $100.00.

It seems that Sony underestimated the demand for the PS4 camera. It's selling for well over $100 (and some of those are used) on Amazon and Ebay in the US. So I guess if you can get it for $10.00 over retail msrp it's not such a bad deal. Got mine at launch for retail price but didn't anticipate it would be in so much demand.

MS doesn't deserve a break. It would behoove them to offer early UK adopters of the Xbox One some kind of digital coupon towards the purchase of other Xbox One products. That would be a good pr move on their part and perhaps entitle them to the break you think they deserve. It's not just the 30 quid discount, it's the fact that they are including Titanfall along with the deal. That adds up to a sizable discount.
They should follow Nintendo's example with the 3ds. The 2...

This bundle is not a rip off. It's just you would pay if bought everything separately at retail price. Most people buy a couple of games, an extra controller and the Ps+ membership anyway. Hell, I bought an extra controller, the camera(I could sell that camera for at least twice what it cost me btw) and two games at launch. The extra controller is a good idea because you will always have one charged and ready to go even if you're just a single player. Actually, as far as bundles go, ...

Yes, the Titanfall Xbox One bundle is selling better than the PS4 but the PS4 isn't available on Prime at retail price right now so no big surprise. The PS4 usually goes to number 1 on the best seller list when it's available on Prime. It will interesting to see what happens when Amazon gets their next shipment of PS4s in.

It will sell consoles especially in the UK where it's being packed in as part of a cut price bundle. However, I don't think it will sell as many Xbox Ones as some think because it's available on two other platform plus, imo, a lot of people who want to play Titanfall on Xbox One have already purchased the console.

For those of you getting excited about a possible Xbox One Jrpg announcement on Tuesday I have what appears to be bad news. According to this article, Mr. Spencer later clarified his statement and said he was joking: http://gamingbolt.com/xbox-... Nice one Mr. Spencer!

With Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart 8 coming out this year, I believe the Wii U will give the Xbox One a good challenge (it still has a 2 million plus lead on the Xbox One while the PS4 should eclipse the Wii U in sales this weekend after its Japan release) for second place in this generation of consoles. These games could be big system sellers and are attractive to the hard core and casual gamer alike. Super Smash brothers is especially a big deal with the gamers I know. Almost every ...

Oh yeah! I forgot to factor in the Xbox One in the USA. Between the two they sold about 2 million launch day consoles. If the Japanese go for the next gen as much as we Americans, that would be closer to 800,000 first day PS4 sales in Japan. Somehow, I don't see it getting those kind of numbers, we'll just have to wait and see. I'll take a wild guess for fun and say 600k.

Latest census figures have Japan's population at 127.820 million and the US at 316.128 million so, the Japanese population is about 40% the size of the US's population. If the PS4 sells at a similar rate in Japan, first day sales would be about 400,000. However, the Japanese are more into mobile and handheld gaming so I'd be surprised if the PS4 sells as well there as it has in the USA. 300k to 350k first day sales would be a fantastic launch for the PS4 in Japan.

So does anyone know if they put the resolution on the back of games, like Forza 5 and Tomb Raider: The definitive edition, that do output at a native 1080p?

I've read a few comments from diehard Xbox apologists - how can anybody with two good eyes think the Xbox One version looks better? My god, enjoy your console, and Titanfall but don't pretend that the Xbox version of this game is better looking than the PS4 version because it isn't.

I can't see the multimedia feature set that the Xbox One offers making much of a difference. There are too many other competitors in the market - Roku, Apple TV, Smart TVs, your cable provider and last generation consoles to name a few - for the Xbox One, imo, to be able corner the casual market on multimedia services. Besides that, you don't have to pay an extra fee to access Netflix, Hulu plus etc to use these apps on other platforms. Voice control is cool, but it is also offered by...

Are Xbox fans really rejoicing over the removal of this sharpener? If so, it's kind of pathetic since plenty of fans touted the 'sharper' graphics on the Xbox One over the PS4 versions of multiplats. Titanfall is not a graphical masterpiece with or without this filter but why should it matter? Perhaps it matters to some because Titanfall is not really a current generation title. Obviously, since its on the 360 too, it's a cross-generation title that you don't need the X1 t...

What Titanfall teaches us is that cash is king, otherwise why would EA not publish the game on the PS4. The argument that the author uses about it allowing the developers to focus on developing for fewer platforms is bs since the X1 and PS4 have similar architectures.Imo, it wouldn't really have taken that much more resources to port Titanfall to the PS4. We already know that the decision to bring the game to MS platforms only was not made by respawn, it was made by EA. I think EA gamble...

The argument that the author uses that taking the cash from MS allows respawn to focus on the X1 and the pc is bs. The X1 and the PS4 have similar architecture so it wouldn't have been that difficult to develop the game for both platforms. Respawn did not make the decision to develop for X1 and PC only, EA did. EA took the cash for business reasons that have nothing to do with the developers focus.
