@donthate Eurogamer's hands on with the PS4 and X1 versions of MGSV was with the pre-released version of the game. The X1 version has already been patched. I'd wait for the PS4 versions patch before passing judgement. After all, the game hasn't been released yet. "Currently, Xbox One has a 1.01 patch available, while PlayStation 4 does not." Hard to imagine that the PS4 version won't be patched to improve performance either at launch or soon after launch.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't bother to read the articles especially when the titles are misleading click bait. This article does not bash Sony or these types of games in anyway.

@Lamboom Yeah, the article is just stating that we may see more interactive games, movies and TV shows in the future. The author ends with this positive conclusion. "Sony seems to be pushing the entertainment boundaries yet again."

@ChuckTheIceMan "Another Playstation Flop!" Apparently you don't realize that the majority of the reviews for Until Dawn have been very positive.

@i3eyond - "Each title dropping on xbox can hold its own in the market against even the stellar 3rd party titles." Which market (markets) are you talking about? The only game I think that can hold its own in some worldwide markets against the likes of COD and Fallout is Halo 5. Forza 6 and TR will sell well but won't move "mountains on shelves." Also, a Persona 5 bundle will sell tens of thousands of PS4's in the Japanese market alone even though it's also bein...

@Jamesx82x Japanese games will be very relevant in Japan and quite a few other markets and sell lots of PS4 consoles. Halo and Forza will sell in the USA and in parts of Europe but they will be niche titles in other major markets, especially Japan. Not sure what country you hail from but the USA and UK ain't the whole world.

@LetsJust If you think N4G is hostile, check out other sites like IGN and Gamespot - N4G is a lot more civil

@Radical - "Persona 5 isn't even ps4 exclusive." You're correct. But it is exclusive to Playstation and you can be sure it won't ever appear on Xbox, PC or anywhere else for that matter. Not sure you can say the same about X1 exclusives. With MS's push to capture a chunk of the PC market, it would be no big surprise to see the likes of Halo and Forza end up on the PC.

@Gorilla "you don't have to post a list of all the Japanese games. If you enjoy them then great, but most people don't." Well, if you really think about it, most people don't like the Halo and Uncharted games. If they did, these franchises would sell tens of millions of more copies than they have. (BTW MGS and Final Fantasy are top Japanese franchises that sell very well worldwide.) Name me one game that most gamers (console, handheld, PC and Mobile combined) have play...

@stevej336 " Love this site. /s " Actually the discourse on N4G is positively civil and fair minded when compared to the comment sections of sites like IGN and Gamespot. I think that's largely due to the bubble system. I'll take the disagrees here over the immature crap that gets flung back and forth in other sites comment sections any day.

Here's the deal. If Konami were the exception to the rule (ie their games run at a lower resolution on the X1 than the many of multiplats produced by other developers) then it would be ok to blame them for not being able to get this game up to 1080p. But, they're not the exception to the rule. They have lots of company.

@WDB11 "At this point you have to realize that it's not Xbox.. it's the devs." No it's not just the developers, it's also the hardware. Some developers have managed to get more out of the X1 than others but many are still having problems getting the X1's performance to match the performance of the PS4 hardware in most cases with multiplats. I don't think these developers are purposely gimping the X1 versions of games. Why would they? For example, Sunset Over...

@d4v033 - "They definitely do matter because if it wasn't for the exclusives there would have been no point in having different consoles."

I disagree. There are enough significant differences between the PS4, X1 and Wiiu other than exclusives to warrant more than one console on the market. For example, amongst these 3 consoles, there are differences in power, ui, controllers, services offered etc. Exclusives are important but they're not the only thing to ...

MS shouldn't have been so quick to drop the Kinect 2.0 for the X1. That's one feature where they really dared to be different. Voice control for the UI and advanced motion controls could've proved to be a game changer had MS come up with a couple of killer apps for the Kinect when the X1 launched. I purchased the X360 with the Kinect and I loved it's functionality - especially the fact that I didn't need to hold something for the motion controls to work.

From the article: Kusi Tsunoda "stated that Xbox One has more exclusives than competing “platforms". I didn't read the Gamespot article the author pulled that quote from. Was Tsunoda referring to Fall 2015 exclusives or LTD exclusives? In either case his assertion is at best highly debatable. As far as the rest of the stuff - the WiiU has BC and the PS4 has cross play and cross buy so, based on the bs in this article, how is the X1 daring to be different? Also the article states...

The X1 with the release of Halo 5 will most likely temporarily close the gap this fall especially in the USA. How much the gap closes depends on a number of factors. The number one factor will be the pricing of the Holiday bundles and the consoles themselves. If Sony decides to match MS with discounted Holiday bundles and decides to drop the price on the PS4 that gap, imo, may not close at all.

@Pistols I don't mind waiting a year to play ROTTR on the PS4. The reason is simple - I'm not going to buy an X1 or build a gaming PC just so I can play it a year earlier. It's not like I won't have other games to play before it releases for PS4 in 2016.

Publishers charge $60 for a new game because they know that some gamers (quite a lot of us actually if it's a popular ip) are impatient and absolutely must buy a game as soon as it releases. Most games, even if they're successful, will receive a substantial discount within weeks of release. That said, one could argue most games aren't worth $60 simply due to the fact that they can't maintain their retail value for more than a few weeks. So, if No Mans Sky releases at retail pri...

EA would love to have 'Access' on PS4 which has a much larger install base than the X1. The fact that Sony denied them access must have been very disappointing to them and Peter Moore. Is there a reason why it's not on PC as well? That said, I think Sony should've signed up for the service - nothing wrong with giving your customers more choices.
